Find out what Indian restaurants to try in Stavanger. With about 120,000 people, Stavanger is Norway’s fourth-largest city and a fascinating mix of old and new. Its history stretches back deep into the Middle Ages. Stavanger was once a tranquil coastal market town and then later an important fishing port. But it was the 1969 discovery of oil offshore that forever changed the now bustling city’s fortunes and landscape. Don’t miss the well-preserved old town (Gamle Stavanger), the unique Canning Museum or the 12th-century Stavanger Cathedral.

This is the best Indonesian Malaysian food you can try in Europe. Extremely authentic as the chef is Indonesian himself and the food tastes just like back in Indonesia. He's also very friendly. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended!
We are a newly opened Indian Restaurant with long experience in the restaurant and food industry. We offer good atmosphere & high quality Indian food.
We heard about this place from friends. It opened just a few days before we visited the first time. It was absolutely fantastic, just as we were told. Crispy nan with soft center, fantastic tasty hot pot with prawns, lamb and chicken. Our kids had chicken tikka and they loved it. The experience was so outstanding that I booked seats for the whole family five days later when i turned 50. 18 guests had a splendid experience. Much of the dishes were tested and everyone was amazed. I have had indian food more times than I can count, its my favourite food, all over the world. This is the best indian I have ever had. Outstanding!!!

Pakistani restaurant offering the best of Pakistani and Indian cuisine in the heart of Stavanger City. Located opposite the Oil Museum. Our menu has traditional tandoori and curry dishes. Take away and catering services available. Free short term parking
Pleasantly surprised. Visited Desi Deli with a group of five friends. We ordered butter chicken, mixed grill, chicken biryani, chicken pakora, garlic naan. Taste and quality on par if not better than other established Stavanger curry places. Most definitely will visit again. My new favourite curry place in Stavanger.

Awaken your senses with the rich, authentic Pakistani pleasure of Zouq. Located in Pedersgata, Zouq is the oil city's only Pakistani restaurant, and we are proud of the overwhelming response that we have received since opening. Zouq means passion, and that
The meal was excellent (including the naan), mango lasi also very good. Cold tap water provided for free. Friendly atmosphere plus you can watch your food being prepared through a big window to the kitchen. Not cheap, for being a fast food-like place. Thanks for the kind words:)

If you like Indian food you maybe experienced the same dilemma as me before. You have a favorite dish and you rarely vary from that. I have been going to different Indians in various places of the world and i normally order a chef´s special or by default a Chicken Jalfrezy with garlic naan. Since 2 years have friends been telling me about this restaurant in Stavanger but we never managed to find a date which suited everybody. During my last visit in the beginning of May we finally booked a table. Menu looks like most Indian restaurant´s except the special tasting menu. The tasting menu is a selection of Indian dishes in a various of courses (from 3 to 7 or 8?) which changes every months. The chef chooses different types from different regions and with different ingredients for the respective courses. We had 4 different starters to share between the 3 of us with a really nice vegetarian option added which I honestly wouldn´t have ordered from the menu as I like my meat. Followed by a fish dish and 3 more mains with chicken, lam and vegetarian again a bucket full of flavors. The yogurt with raspberry sorbet pushed us then over the edge in the end. A fantastic evening with great food and great service by friendly stuff. My first at the Mogul India but not my last. Thanks
