Kadirâs Indian Street Food is a not your typical Indian Restaurant. Based in the heart of Southsea, the food at Kadirâs is simple yet remarkable. Made from high quality ingredients, cooked earnestly and offered in a considered and regularly changing menu
Ordered a Chicken Tikka Massala and Prawn Kurma with a Pilau rice as a takeaway. First the good, the food quality was great, taste was delicious and even the rice was fragrant and delicious. However, the chicken tikka masala was extremely red due to food colouring and the rice was very small. For £3.25 I have to say I felt ripped off with a portion of rice that wouldn't even satisfy one person. Most restaurants would give a quantity enough for 2.Good food, normal issues. If cost isn't an issue and you don't mind food colouring, 100% recommended!

Even after a few drinks and a full Vietnamese lunch we decided to pop here for dinner. Wow! Staff are fantastic and the food was incredible. I eat out a lot and find it very difficult to give eateries a five star but this was 100% five stars

Visited last night after arriving late in Southsea. Lovely restaurant with a nice atmosphere and great staff. Most Indian restaurants have similar menus but this one has lots of specials I have never seen before and we will definitely go back and try some others.

Called in here for an evening meal, on our way to France. The restaurant came recommended by our taxi driver. We were not disapointed. We were immediately welcomed and shown to our table. This being nicely dressed in fine white table cloths and knapkins, The staff were very effisient and pleasant, and we soon had our drinks. I ordered the Bombay Buffalo Bhuna, this came with vegetables and rice. It was delicious. The meat was for me a very large portion, the pieces of buffalo being at least and inch to an inch and a half chunks. The sauce was lovely and there was so much I had to leave some. My wife had the chicken curry with special fried rice. Again there was a lot of chicken in a lovely sauce. Again so much my wife had to leave some. This was the best indian I have had for several years. This place is well worth a visit.

We have been visiting Portsmouth a few times a year now, we always end up with a takeaway which is delivered into Gunwharf Quays. We have just returned home tonight, bringing with us a takeaway, we also had one on Friday night and all food has been hot and totally delicious. We had lamb naga and chicken hara and as it was so good on Friday we ended up with the same again. We arenât normally creatures of habit and like to vary our curries, but honestly we were so impressed had to repeat it. We will have to try to visit the restaurant and eat in on our next visit, hopefully later in the year.
