Well we used to visit and have takeaways from the New Akash Restaurant , which were always awesome quality. Having atblong last tried the Akash Takeway , I can say it as good as the restaurant was and Iâm not sure why Iâm surprised , as itâs the same team as far as I know .

olive is fast becoming the chosen favourite amongst 'curry' lovers. Our five star master chefs are dedicated to bringing our wide range of patrons the most authentic Indian cuisine.
Excellent. A modern Indian restaurant specialising in Indian street food. There is an extensive menu with some items, which you would not usually find in an Indian restaurant. There are a variety of vegetarian options. The staff were friendly and helpful in making suggestions from the menu, service was prompt and the food was delicious. The paneer tawa with coconut and ilme rice was lovely. Others in our party had prawn and chicken options for this dish. We also loved the herby potato naan and aubergine and peanut side dish. As noted by other customers, there is no car park as the restaurant is just off the "Magic Roundabout" so parking can be difficult if you are not lucky enough to get one of the spaces on the road outside. We had a great meal here and will return.

Came here last week in quite a large party. The menu is varied and reasonably priced, and the portion sizes are plentiful. The waiters were attentive and friendly. Food was tasty, although i did find the chicken in my Silsila dish slightly tougher than i would like normally. Not sure how it compares to others in the area but i would come here again.

Berkhamsteds best Indian Restaurant with exquisite food and service. Takeaways available also. A unique and delicious experience awaits you
Came in Saturday with a friend and had a great meal, great service. Ended up telling other friends and headed back on Wednesday by chance...A great start, perfect service. But then the Onion Bhajiâs arrived cold in the middle which we sent back and got new ones as we were finishing our meal, and a friend found some foil in his rice which concerned him and he asked about. Everyone liked the food. But just mildly disappointed that the Bhajiâs had been undercooked etc, anyway we were finished so we asked for the bill. Nothing had been adjusted bearing in mind the couple of small errors. Anyway, we paid in full with a tip. When the young lady came to collect our money I pointed out the two faults to her and she told me that I should have said something to have them removed from the bill... but surely I already had... I explained politely that âwhen you are trying to be a restaurant at this level, then surely when I made you aware of the issues I gave you the opportunity to make it rightâItâs left a cold & tinny taste in my mouth!
