Best Diving Resort In Cebu For A Special Reason
Reviewed By eric_builderStayed at Emoha Diving Resort last night (Apr 23-24, 2022) with my wife & kids and its definitely one of our best experiences. I’ll give it more than 5Stars with all honesty. This resort is no doubt one of Cebu’s best hidden gems for a number of reasons: 1. Owned by genuine & hospitable French-HK couple which are very hands on, we felt like VIPs during our stay. They are on top of the food & they spent time talking with us. 2. The resort is very private, quiet & exclusive with only 6 rooms. Just perfect for us as we are looking for a quick stress relieving get-away. The view of Negros Island & Tañon Strait is a Zen experience in itself. The water is calm & backdropped with majestic mountains. It seems so close that you can swim it. The sunset is so romantic. Despite being close to the port for Dumaguete, there is no noise & you cannot see passenger boats crossing. 3. It is a high-end resort at a low-cost price. We love the details. Kohler bath & toilet fixtures are used. Double glazed thick aluminum. Cogon reeds on ceiling, Outdoor furnitures by Metamorphose. Lounges from HK, terracota tiles for Dumaguete. My wife love the plates & utensils used. 4. For non-divers like us, the ambiance is a very welcoming environment. The Contemporary Filipino architecture of the resort is a stunner. I have been to other diving resorts in Mactan & Moalboal & all of them are just plain accomodations. Nothing special to it as they focus only on diving. 5. The food is absolutely amazing. Its a treat for both the eyes & tummy. Fish are freshly caught. Only the finest ingredients were used. Absolutely delicious & worth your bucks. Plus, Chef Girly spend time talking to us which we find very enjoyable. 6. Location-wise I would say that Emoha is perfectly nestled. Because most of Cebu’s diving resorts are conveniently located in Mactan & some in Moalboal, these areas are very crowded. Emoha gives you an exciting, unique & new experience in Santander. You can similarly experience what Moalboal divers has to offer because it is also along Tañon Strait but you have more because you are close to Dumaguete & Negros diving sites. Definitely we will be returning to this resort regularly as we love the people behind it, the whole resort amenities & our experiences. It feels like home.

Worth the price
Reviewed By Xt LThe resort was very hidden, but it also meant that it was quiet :). Food was very nice and the people very friendly. Room was clean, but the shower was flooded so we had to wait a fair bit before the next person could shower. Only stayed there for one night but very nice for the price.

Reviewed By salemnobodySantander Pebble Beach Resort They do NOT have a business card! It’s at the far end of Santander. The resort & many other resorts has few visitors due to coronavirus. The resort has; a restaurant that does NOT serve vegetarians, a pool & it is close by a beach. The room has; a king size bed, a mini-fridge, flat-screen TV with 3 channels in Philippine, a closet with hangers, a small desk, air-con with remote & a bedside table. The bathroom has; 2 towels, 2 packets of shampoo & soap & a hot water heater for a shower. The Wi-Fi only works in the restaurant. It does NOT work in my room. The restaurant can fill your empty plastic bottles with clean water = Nice. The Wi-Fi is extremely slow! It IS 2 buttons on the taskbar. It takes at least 2 minutes to change a page/tab. They also do NOT Scuba Diving! They’re a middleman or facilitator that CAN “ARRANGE” scuba diving. I booked there for 7 days. The price is 2000 PHP for one dive! I canceled this booking & I booked for 7 days & booking.com canceled it for 2800 PHP.

Reviewed By Tour155921I peaceful place with a friendly staff and good food. A short walk to the beach with few people. It’s a plus to rent a bike so you can explore the nice surroundings of Santander. The only bad thing is that it has no WiFi and signal sucks. So prepare to be of the grid.

My new bride and I were winging it - we had no reservations and intended to look at some of the resorts there and pick one. We stopped at Bona Villa first, and after checking out the rooms and main house, she said "we're staying here." I replied, "aren't we going to check the other places?" And she said "no, we're staying here!" The next three days were among the most perfect of my recent years. We relaxed in the warm pool. Hand-fished with the fisherman in the morning. The incredibly attentive staff made us coffee in the main house as a cool breeze drifted through. We drank beers on the porch every evening, and enjoyed the strong air-conditioning rooms at night. My wife even arranged for a massage one night, and she loved it. The property is gorgeous. The staff attended our every need. I was blown away at the value. Don't bother staying anywhere else but the Bonga Villa. It's AMAZING for the price.

Guests can ride the BUS (CERES or SUN RAYS Bus Lines) towards Oslob for cheaper fare (less that Php 30.00 per person as of writing) or ride the Tricycle that can accomodate at maximum of 5-6 persons is available for an affordable fare (can be negotiated), wide parking area within the area of the property for FREE. Dodz Apartelle is located in Santander in the Cebu Region, 12 km from Dumaguete. Alcoy is 38 km away. Guests can enjoy a meal at the on-site restaurant. Siquijor is 31 km from Dodz Apartelle. The nearest airport is Tagbilaran Airport, 64 km from Dodz Apartelle and Dumaguete Airport.
Friendly owners and close to Liloan Port
Reviewed By 897adaaUpon arrival, we met the friendly and helpful owners. The rooms were big and clean; however, the shower knob broke and water started to gush out. Upon telling the staff this, they were very quick in trying to fix it then switch us to a different room. The mattresses in both rooms were cheap soft foam and the air conditioner, even though effective was very loud (We eventually had to turn it off ). Unfortunately, that night, there was a wedding booked in the function hall on the property, which pumped out ridiculously loud music, only until 10pm, which was a relief. However, then there were other guests who were in the common area drinking, singing and talking until the very early hours of the morning, and a barrage of thumping on doors since some of them were locked out of their rooms by their other roommate. Roosters and obnoxiously loud karaoke woke us up at 7am, so all in all, it was a really restless night.Do not recommend this accommodation for light sleepers. The pool is a nice touch, however, I did not see them turn on the filtration once. Definitely visit the Inambakan Falls. The owners helped us get a tricycle, which we bargained from 600 to 375pesos to get us to the mouth of the trailhead, wait for us, then back to the hotel. We then paid another 150pesos each for a habal habal ride to the falls itself and back. The entrance fee itself is 50 Pesos each and you are paired with a mandatory guide. We got the trailhead by 4pm but was told that the falls close at 5pm, however, they were nice enough to let us stay til 6pm. We were one of only two couples there, which was fantastic, as we could really enjoy the falls and take some great photos.

Reviewed By andrewdalesWell I did not know what to expect when I visited here. What I did expect that when I arrived at 8pm there would be someone there to greet me. After a few phone calls a young lady arrived to greet me. The place was basic but good value for money. I was in one of the bamboo chalets.The bed was comfy. Clean towels and sheets everyday. I was expecting the cold shower and considering the temperature there it was better than a hot one. A few visits from cock roaches and other insects but this is to be expected. The family who lived in the resort grounds were very friendly and they helped make the place more secure.

Reviewed By katariko友人の勧めで泊まりました。 リロアンの港から歩いていけるところにあります。ハイウェイも近くセブからのバスに乗ると便利。 ホテルの前に専用のビーチがあり、サンゴと魚がすごくたくさんきれいに見れます。 シュノーケルやダイビングセットも借りることができます。 レストラン付きですが、メニューは選べないプレートランチ程度。 韓国料理なのでおいしかったですが、ちょっとボリュームは少なめ。 近所にあまりお店などないので食べ物などはもっていくほうがいいかも。 コーヒーなどドリンクバーがあり、無料だと思っていたら最後にチャージをとられたのでちょっと驚きましたが安かったので問題ない程度です。 部屋は豪華ではないですが、清潔でお湯シャワーのお湯がしっかり出るのが良かったです。 オーナーは韓国人で海に詳しく親切でした。
