Nice retreat
Reviewed By pjsweetMy boyfriend and I stayed two night at Hotel Aigliere for a skiing mountains. Our ensuite room was very warm and cosy with a good sized balcony with comfortable chairs to sit and enjoy the tranquility and lovely view of the mountains. There was always hot water at all times of the day. We were offered a buffet breakfast with fresh bread, pastries and fruit and unlimited juices and hot drinks. The spa facilities for €10/person for an hour were lovely and clean. On our second night we had dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The food was very delicious and fresh with fair prices. Hotel Aigliere is a family friendly and family run establishment. My boyfriend and I were greeted every day with very warm smiles from the staff and we had pleasant conversations with the ladies in reception as well as the chef. We were made to feel very welcome. The hotel has several communal areas with a living room type set up and next to the spa is a games' room with a ping pong table. You have use of free WiFi in the hotel bar. The Wi-Fi doesn't extend to the bedrooms so if you are someone who needs to work online in your room and you have data from your mobile phone, then you will be just fine. But I think most people come to ski and to enjoy the surrounding nature and to disconnect for a few days. I highly recommend Hotel Aigliere and we would definitely stay again!

Mountainhotel Saint Roch, located at the ski slopes of Puy Saint Vincent 1400, offers a laid back atmosphere in a beautiful surrounding. In the completely new renovated living room with cosy corners, fireplace, reading and game table and splendid view, breakfast and diner are served. Apart from the living room guests can also enjoy the bar, sunny terrace, outdoor swimming pool (only during summer), sauna and hot tub. A buffet breakfast is available each morning and includes fresh bread, eggs, cereals, cheese and jam. The hotel is ideally located just in front of the ski lifts of station 1400 and ski rental shop. In summer you can use this lift to take up your mountain bike for one of the down hill routes of Puy Saint Vincent. For road bikers famous passes like Col d'Izoard and Col du Galibier are perfect aims of a day trip. At the doorstep of National Park des Ecrins, the surroundings of the hotel are perfect for hiking as well. Services offered on site include luggage storage, ski lockers, bike storage and reparation area, free parking and a warm welcome!

Reviewed By FosseeBearHad dinner at La Pendine in Puy St Vincent last week. The location is good as is the dining room. We chose reblochon en croute, which perhaps can best be described in English as Tartiflette with pastry on top. It looked great when it arrived at the table. We were warned the dish was hot. So it was. Unfortunately though inside it was not. We sent it back to be heated further. It returned 10 to 15 minutes later. It was just about warm enough....barely though. We ate it. On reflection we should have sent it back again. Other reviewers seem to have had a better experience. Lucky them. Finally, given the problem with the food, I would have expected some contrition from the chef or management. Complete silence. Almost as if it were our fault. We won’t be returning. John and Diane

Good family apartments in great location - admin could be improved
Reviewed By Liz7654We stayed in a 6 bed apartment which is a good size for a family of four. It is well furnished and has everything you need but you will need to bring or buy toilet paper, a tea towel, dishwasher tablets, clothes for cleaning as none of this is provided. Dame Blanche is perfectly situated at 1800m you can ski straight out onto the piste. It is quieter than the appartments at 1600. The outside pool is a welcome addition and heated to 30C. This is only open during the school holidays as are the navettes, shuttle buses which go between the resorts at 1600 and 1400. Fortunately our February half term was the same as the french one so pool was open and navettes were in operation. There is a restaurant beside the residence, Tom Rider, and also a place to hire your ski wear, Go Montagne. You can also reserve a car parking space if you need one. If you are not bringing sheets and towels, don't forget to hire them in advance. The reason why I did not give the apartments 4 stars is that they expect you to do an inventory of everything in the kitchen when you arrive, number of plates, knives and forks, saucepans etc when you arrive and also write a report on the state of walls, furniture, bathroom etc. You have 48 hours to do this. Then when you leave you have to do a full clean and have an inspection, plus you are expected to take your used sheets and towels down to reception. The check in process seemed quite stressful too. It took nearly 15 minutes to do and I wasn't sure why. I think both check in and check out processes could be improved - so it is less of a chore and more of a holiday. Apparently this is quite standard in France so it would probably have been the same if we had stayed in another apartment on the resort. Puy St Vincent itself is a great ski resort for beginners and intermediate skiers. It is relatively quite and has quite a number of slopes to keep you amused. It is also a great place for walking. Dogs are allowed in the apartments. I think I may bring mine next year. Now I know what a dog friendly and family friendly resort it is.

Reviewed By ManyitaNice location but very poor and dirty accomodation. We booked two houses in september with only one wish that we would like to have two houses close to the ski ciurse. We arrived and the management gave us the last apartements from the ski course without terace. When i asked for some other the manager told me that he is not able to help me because we did not book straight at him. They were not full. He could help us but he did not do it. The apartements were dirty when we arrived. On the end of the week we cleaned the place and ask them for the deposit back. They checked the place and told us clean again. We cleaned again but was not enough. They took 200 euros from the deposit. They are THIEFS and have very bed attitude.

The food was made with the best ingredients and it was very delicious. There was good family facilities, steam room, sauna, table tennis, pool, tv lounge, kitchen and great outdoor areas! We would love to go back because of the good service, the rooms, the atmosphere and the amazing food ?? Thanks for a great stay during Alps Epic.

This residence is situated at Puy Saint-Vincent 1800, offering a panoramic view over the National Park des Ecrins and La Vallouise. There is one main building on many levels and 2 smaller buildings. In this privileged position you will benefit from a calm environment while still being connected to everything you need, ski access less than 100m, bakery 200m, station center 400m. A free minibus stops in front of the building to take you to the station center at any time during the day. The apartments here are comfortable and offer excellent value considering quality vs price. Our team are available to help you for the duration of your stay, because your holiday needs to be fun and relaxing, and above all provide unforgettable memories.

Reviewed By Experience95285Very basic apartment in good location. Unfortunately the apartment was very disgusting and dirty. When I mentioned the state of cleanliness to staff I was told where the cleaning products were and they suggested I clean myself!! I have emailed the establishment and they have done nothing to remedy this issue. Cannot recommend and will not be going back. Shame!

Résidence avec piscine (ouvert pendant les vacances scolaires) et sauna SdB avec baignoire (assez rare en station de ski). Enfin: une épicerie se trouve sous la résidence: idéal pour le café et les croissants chaque matin

For a cozy family room and zen , Les Gentian is the ideal destination. Consists of 4 small buildings of wood and stone , the building fits perfectly into the natural environment. The spacious and cozy apartments , you will enjoy maximum comfort and breathtaking views of the White Glacier National Park Ecrins or Vallouise valley . To relax, you can freely enjoy the heated swimming pool of the residence

Reviewed By Melania DThe room and the apartment are cool, and quite good, clean and wide. I should recommend just a thing, it would be better to provide the bed sheet and blankets for king size beds. The swimmingpool its very small, and far from some apartments, the water should be warmer, especially in winter, and it would be better to have a bigger space to deposit all swimmingpool staff. The wifi should be installed in all the residence in and not only in the common room - reception. Great position to ski. The staff it's kind and easygoing.
