The hotel is clean and very nice. We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was good. Only complaint the a/c unit jn room 129 is very noisy, but I can live with that for one night! The young lady that checked me in was very nice & helpful. All in all a very nice stay..we will be back.

Kind of a cross between a motel and hostel. We had a private room and bath. AC worked great (but noisy) which is important in July in Lone Pine. Staff was very nice. No housekeeping services or amenities (shampoo, etc.). I think my husband thought it was more of a motel but it’s truly a hostel with a few private rooms. It was very convenient to many things. Although it was fine for our needs in this trip, I’ll likely select another motel next time. Very little availability this time of year.

Would definitely stay here again and very convenient to the supercharge. Rooms very clean and freshly decorated. Bed was very comfy with good quality sheets. Everything we needed for an overnight stop. Friendly staff on the desk. Cute town with shops and restaurants. Although we arrived after 9pm and everything was closed even Mc Donald’s.

Stayed for one night on a last minute Best Western reservation, staging for a day in Death Valley. This hotel exceeded all expectations. Staff friendly, room quiet, somewhat dated but very clean. The hot breakfast was awesome, very valuable as good food is limited both in town and in Death Valley. Would highly recommend this hotel, and would definitely return when headed back to Death Valley, or on the way to Yosemite.

We stayed here for the Lone Pine Film Festival and we’re pleased with its cleanliness, quiet, and friendly staff. The price was very fair and the location good. My only complaint is that their ice machine was decrepit and there was no ice bucket in room.

I was expecting a basic roadside motel given the reviews and the price. It was one of the few places with a room left in the area. So imagine my surprise when I got there. Friendly staff, lovely rooms and a location that was just right for Lone Pine and the surrounding area. This may not be a resort or a flash named brand hotel, but that should not detract from the place - it was a beautiful surprise and I am so glad that I was able to stay there, even if only for a few nights.

Quality Inn hotel, a hotel in Lone Pine, CA close to Mt. Whitney and Death Valley. The Quality Inn® hotel is located at the base of the eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains and close to Mount Whitney. This Lone Pine, CA hotel is near area attractions like Alabama Hills, Diaz Lake and the Manzanar National Historic Site. Lone Pine is the gateway to adventure and perfect for visitors who want to explore some of California's incredible sites. Owens Dry Lake is only 10 miles away. Fishing, water skiing and snow skiing are all located in the area. Death Valley National Park is 105 miles and Yosemite National Park is 125 miles from the hotel. Lake Tahoe, Los Angeles and Las Vegas are less than 250 miles away.
Over the years, I've stayed at the Quality Inn Lone Pine a number of times and my most recent stay there has made me think about exploring other lodging options in Lone Pine. The property and rooms are nothing special. Quality Inn is merely a place to bed down for the night when you're on the road. My last stay at Quality Inn came after hiking Mt. Whitney. My wife and I got to our room late in the evening and went to bed hungry (in part because the fast food restaurants of Lone Pine close their doors early). In the morning, my wife and I went to the hotel's complimentary breakfast, which is officially billed as being "hot, fresh and healthy." What we found is coffee, cereal and one solitary waffle machine. You could tell the 12 guests who were playing musical chairs around the waffle machine were thinking, "WTF." A lot of tourists pass through Lone Pine and pit-stop at this hotel. At the complimentary breakfast, I saw Asian and Australian tourists. The Asians actually chose to buy breakfast from the hotel vending machine and the Australian tourist said aloud, "zero stars for me." I travel quite a bit, and I can tell you most hotel chains currently provide many more breakfast food options than a waffle machine. I drank my coffee and waited for my turn at the waffle machine, but in the end I decided I'd rather drive to McDonalds to grab breakfast than fight for the chance tom make my own waffle. The complimentary breakfast at Quality Inn Lone Pine is an epic fail, and overall there's nothing impressive about this hotel to keep them coming back. I submit (backed by the international hotel guests I recently encountered) it be appropriately renamed "Basic Inn."

Needed to break down a 4-day road trip into manageable chunks and this little town was a quarter into my trip. The motel room was extremely clean, quiet (no road noise), and had a comfortable bed. It had everything I needed for a one-night stay before moving on to the next state.
