Check In Staff Rude

Reviewed By HardFacts

The staff member was rude to my daughter and I when we checked in. When we returned later in the evening, the same staff member thought it better to sit and chat with friends instead of standing g up and serving us. This was enough for my daughter and I will never forget the words she said in the room. "I don't want to stay here daddy, I want to go. They're not as nice as our(Rainham Kent) hotel.

The rooms are really comfortable and has everything you could possibly need for a short or long stay. The staff are lovely and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast next morning had everything you could wish for and so tasty. Thank you so much Wayne, Tina and staff for your hospitality, we will be back.

Cute and comfy local inn

Reviewed By hayleyrose30

We stayed here for one night in April and it was quite a cute and very comfy little inn, the room was a very good size and clean. Checkin and checkout were both very easy and hassle free, also lots of parking available. The pub downstairs was a good size and fairly reasonably priced for drinks. We had breakfast included, however there was no menu to choose what you wanted so you had to rely on the staff listing off what they had to know what was available. The speed of service and food at breakfast was good. Only a 20 minute drive to Sidmouth beach so this was a great location for us to stay.

Lovely

Reviewed By L33_B1976

We had a 1 night stop here as part of our 4 night trip away. The house itself nice and well presented. Situated in a quiet village. There is parking at the front for 6 cars and a seating area outside if you want to enjoy the weather. There is Lots of space in the lounge and dining room. The bedroom we stayed in, Coleridge, had a very comfortable bed and a lovely stained glass window. The view from the second window you could see the church and pub with the countryside in the distance. The room was very spacious with a private bathroom/shower. We found that when we went to bed we could hear 2 couples in the lounge but we found a fan in the wardrobe and once we turned that on it covered that well enough for us too sleep. Ear plugs are provided but we didn’t need them. Breakfast was delicious but don’t do what I did to ‘try & help’ by clearing the table & putting the dirty dishes in the hatch, it’s clearly written on the information sheet in the room and the breakfast order form but I totally missed it.

We had a lovely time here, just hubby, me and our little dog. Very peaceful and went to bed at dusk, something we never do at home. The hammock was so comfortable and I actually fell asleep in in. Excellent facilities, loos and showers. All natural, well designed and back to nature, off grid. My kind of life. Thanks to Pete and Laura for being so helpful We will visit again for sure
