Nest place but probably a bit overpriced
Reviewed By pdmancsI stayed overnight at Gorkha Gaun in the recommendation of the owner of a previous place I’d stayed in. It’s a few km from the centre of Gorkha, which was fine for me. The hotel organised a cab into town. From there I was happy to explore and make my own way back. The room was comfortable, with the largest bed I’ve ever seen in my life! A terrace and a comfy chair to sit outside would be a good idea though. No air con - just a fan. This was ok as the room didn’t get too hot. Bathroom worked well. Nice shower. Wi-Fi so-so. Not too bad. It’s hard to give an accurate review, as I was the only person staying there. It felt eerily silent, and I didn’t really like being the sole focus of attention. Clearly with a few guests and a bit of a buzz around the place, things would feel very different. But the staff were friendly, the food was good, and I enjoyed sitting out with a beer after my hike. I hope things pick up for them soon.

The River Fun Beach Resort flourishes just by the bank of Trishuli River valley with beautiful green hills surrounding it. The Resort stands at Kuringhat (99 km or 3 hours bus ride), midpoint of Chitwan and Pokhara from Kathmandu Valley and has been able to provide excellent services since the past 12 years. We have been providing river fun activities like rafting, canyoning, kayaking, fishing, and hiking as well.

Usually crowded on weekends and occasions for partying, the resort offers relaxed time on weekdays. From highway/parking, it's a 15-minute walk after crossing a shaky bridge OR a few minutes on zipline. The resort has a nice swimming pool, lovely river beach, lush green garden and rooms or tents. Rooms have white sheets and are clean. Food is good. They also offer river rafting. Avoid it on weekends and holidays if you are not partying type. Weekdays are quiet. Package (usually snacks, dinner, breakfast and lunch) is reasonable.

Solo trip to Gorakha
Reviewed By Yogatravel143Thank you so much for the warm gestures and home like environment Very affordable,clean and nice staff the food here was very delicious and hygienic,for a girl to travel alone was a right decision here U have lot many things to explore around Gorakha darbar, Gorakhnath cave,meuseam many more Would like to visit one more time As it's not very rushed like other tourist places best spot to connect to urslf and have solo trip.....

Wonderful stay in a luxury hotel in the heart of Nepal
Reviewed By 227steenaWe had a wonderful stay at the Gorkha Garden hotel together with our visitors from Europe. The hotel is by far the most luxurious in Gorkha Bazar. The rooms are spacious, beds are great and bathroom tip top modern. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant served the best Nepali food I have had in a restaurant so far (two years in nepal) If you want to stay in a modern star rated hotel, do not hesitate to choose Gorkha Garden Hotel.

Brilliant hospitality
Reviewed By katiebQ5507CQI booked last minute to stay here as I was needing shelter from the rain on my way to Kathmandu. On arrival the owner was so kind and just welcoming, nothing was too much for him and he offered me food and towel straight away. My room was clean, a really comfy bed and bedding and even a brand new bathroom. The place is general is very clean and the food was nice, I only stayed one night but I could of stayed longer if I had time. I felt safe, looked after and happy. If your passing through or visiting then give this place a try and you won't be disappointed.

Poor food, poor service and high prices
Reviewed By Glenn HThis review is for the restaurant rather than the hotel. We ate here one night and were very disappointed. The service went from completely absent to far too full on. We didn't get the drinks we wanted and the food was pretty tasteless and badly cooked. We were the only ones in the place, which on reflection is no surprise!
