Dating back to the 14th century, Charingworth Manor is an ancient estate mentioned in Domesday Book and had various owners over its long, rich and colourful history.Charingworth Manor has 26 beautifully appointed rooms, excellent leisure facilities, stunning function suites and its peaceful setting in 56 acres of gardens and woodlands make it a desirable destination for visitors from all over the world. Our popular and intimate restaurant, John Greville offers a range of treats including afternoon tea, a much –loved tradition within our walls.
We had the best day of our life thanks to Charingworth and the wonderful staff. Aside from being incredibly friendly to us and all our guests, they were so professional and organised throughout the day, we didn't need to worry about a thing. Magda, Dan and Anna handled everything so that we didn't have to and we can't thank them enough. Everything went off without a hitch and all the food throughout the day was exquisite. Our guests were delighted with the food and drink and their rooms too. We had an absolute blast and are looking forward to coming back for our first anniversary already. To other brides and grooms - we would absolutely recommend Charingworth, the venue is magical and the staff are so attentive! All the best, Mr & Mrs Davies (James & Nicola)

Welcome to Woolmarket House, luxury boutique-style bed and breakfast accommodation in Chipping Campden. We are as individual as our lovely guests. Our gorgeous rooms and personal service offer the perfect country getaway. Each of our unique rooms feature designer fabrics, antiques, large comfy beds, contemporary en-suite bathrooms and gorgeous-scented all-natural health & beauty products.
This is a great place to be when you would rather feel like a nuisance than as a welcomed guest. We had booked a luggage transfer service to deliver our luggage ahead of our arrival. When we made it to the Woolmarket House, we found our luggage left outside the b&b - anyone caring enough about their guests would have taken it in. There was no one to check us in either. It felt all very impersonal. We actually didn’t see any member of staff until we were awoken an hour early than indicated that it wouldn’t be possible to have breakfast in the outside area. On that topic: it was apparently decided for us that we should have breakfast in our room. There was for whatever reason no possibility to have it in the communal area. It also ment we had to make coffee and tea ourselves in the room. Breakfast - which we had to order on arrival by leaving a filled out template on a table in the hallway- was not according to what we had filled in. Nothing you would expect for the cost of the accommodation. Leaving again, we inquired where we should leave our luggage as it was to picked up between 9 and 11. According to the member of staff, it would be in the way of other guests inside and she would have preferred us to leave it outside. We’re not sure what happened here. One thing is quite clear: this accommodation is not in the business for the values of hospitality, it serves mostly the goal of profit maximisation. This level of service would be ok at a (much) lower price point. As it is now, things were way below our expectations.

**For best rates always BOOK DIRECT with the hotel** Charming 14th-Century Inn situated in the center of Chipping Campden. Coffee Shop with selection of cakes. Inn with wines, gin and real ales. Restaurant and pub classics served 7 days a week. We have open fires in the winter, outside seating in the summer, and something for everyone on the menu all day every day. Our 28 en suite bedrooms are well furnished, and there is free wifi throughout the building. The Noel can cater for private dinners as well as being able to offer accommodation and conference facilities in partnership with our sister hotel opposite.
This hotel is conveniently located on the high street with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. The room was a reasonable size if not a little tired. The bathroom blind was nothing more that a piece of very thin cheap fabric. Our room faced the road and we could here the traffic going by. Staff on reception were polite and efficient. Parking good. We were seated at a table in the conservatory. We were not informed that juices were self serve and had to get up and find our waitress after being seated for 35 mins and no one had come over to take our order. The fruit salad was full of apples and pineapple and not much else. We then had to prompt the waitress for our cooked breakfast which was edible. Overall we thought we may return but would definitely give breakfast a miss next time as there are plenty of options on the high street where hopefully the service will be better.

The Bantam Tea Rooms and Guest House is a traditional English Tea Room that offers excellent bed and breakfast accommodation. We are nestled in the heart of the historic market town of Chipping Campden. The premises was built in 1693 and directly overlooks the 17th-century Market Hall. The Bantam is situated on the High Street amongst beautifully preserved listed buildings of golden Cotswold stone, many of which date between the 14th and 17th century. Passersby cannot fail to be tempted inside by our display of mouth watering, home-made cakes which are freshly baked daily in our in-house bakery. Also all our delicious lunches are hand made on the premises. We pride ourselves on our impeccable reputation, locally, nationally and internationally. The Tea Rooms have a lovely tea garden which guests can enjoy from May to September. Guests staying overnight at the Bantam have evening access to the garden. We have our own private car park for residents at the rear of the property. Our stylish en-suite rooms are tastefully decorated with a comfortable and cosy feel. There is a peaceful, private guest lounge and throughout the winter months you can enjoy your delicious breakfast by our roaring log fire. Our rooms enjoy wonderful views of Chipping Campden. Our accommodation is open all year round including Christmas and New Year.
Have stopped at these tearooms twice (a year apart) for lunch. First visit - egg mayo sandwich, tea, scone. Lovely food, great service. We sat outside in the lovely courtyard. Second visit - mini English breakfast, tea, cake. Lovely food again, great service again, sat inside in the lovely cafe. I would come here time and time again as it's a lovely place to stop at for lunch and the food is great. The only suggestion for improvement that I would make is to have a little more variety in sandwich fillings and jacket potato fillings. I.e. there is no prawn marie rose option for sandwich/jacket and no chilli filling option for a jacket. That is only a minor point though, it's really nice here. On both occasions I have visited on a weekday, i.e. Friday so can't comment on what it's like at the weekend.

Basic - thin mattress & pillows, shampoo in a squeeze package the size of a sugar pack. Quiet part of town. Lovely chef - good b’fast and the Indian food restaurant (attached) had very nice prices.

We popped in at lunchtime for a bite to eat with our family on Saturday and decided to sit outside. The garden was closed so we sat in a small area which was ok but not great. When the drinks came they were very average but we had high hopes for the food. Unfortunately apart from the fish and chips they were disappointing. Very small portions and my main salad looked like a starter! This was rectified but l didn't feel the staff were particularly friendly or attentive. Although the pub has a nice look to it l wouldn't recommend it for eating or portion size....! Also l noticed on the reviews that the only ones answered by the pub were positive ones?

Do you enjoy tattered bedsheets, moths in the bed and carpeting, and chipped paint on your furniture?? This is what my friend and I experienced when we stayed at Old Barn House in Chipping Camden, England. One of the beds had a mattress that was down to its bedsprings, and was very uncomfortable to sleep on. When we pulled back the bedsheets for the night, there were small moths all over them, and in the closet and carpeting. • There were thread-bare towels in the NOT PRIVATE bathroom. When I nicely asked the proprietor for some different towels, he questioned "Why", and then threw the newer towels on a chair, muttering "Jesus Christ---what else would you like to complain about??" • The mirror in the room was dirty, as was the carpeting. • There was chipped paint on the bedposts and on the chair. • The proprietor knew that we were going out for a late dinner. When we returned home, the outside lights were out, and it was difficult to see where we were going. There also was a lot of clutter in the front area, with dirty rags and containers littered all over. • During breakfast, the proprietor had put out 4-5 boxes of cereal. As the boxes were opened, I looked at the expiration dates on two of them. One was from 2011, and the other one was from 2013!!! We looked no further, and ate NO cereal! • This proprietor had the nerve to charge us an ADDITIONAL 10 POUNDS EACH (for 2 nights) for a PRIVATE BATHROOM, even though it was NOT private, and was separate from the bedroom. The town of Chipping Camden, and the nearby town of Mickleton were wonderful small towns, with quaint pubs and shops. The people there were marvelous, and this B and B was the only bad experience we had on a fabulous 3 week trip to England, Scotland, Ireland and Paris. Please do yourselves a favor, and check out these marvelous towns, but do NOT stay at this nightmare of a B and B!!
