As made clear by the hotel itself, this is a renovated old property subject to noise and with bathrooms down the hall. Also, there is no in-room control of HVAC. However, the price is right and my wife and I have enjoyed this hotel over the years. With COVID, no visit in 2020. I made one visit in 2021 and then May 2022. It is clear the property is continuing to struggle with occupancy and staffing. Lot of little items amiss and one big one, bathroom attention. I took this up directly with hotel staff and to be fair was credited 1/3 of my room rate, which I appreciate. However, I didn't get the response that anything would change soon. Before COVID, towels would be swooped up and the bathroom cleaned as soon as you were out the door. This time, one toilet was out of service. In another bathroom, there was ZERO clean up between roughly 7 PM and my departure roughly 8 AM the next morning. While the bathrooms were not dirty, they were not being cleaned on a schedule that meets my personal needs. Other items show delayed maintenance and lack of attention to detail. None are show stoppers, but in total, slow draining sink in room, light bulb out in room, badly wrinkled towels, and end of life bath mat all add up.

Just off the freeway, close to resturants, outlet shopping, Lucky Eagle Casino, and The Great Wolf Lodge, and youth sports arena.
The hotel is conveniently located to the freeway and local restaurants and services. The room was very comfortable. I had issues with the maintenance of the rooms amenities Phone - could hear the person called, at all TV - abruptly stopped working, some channels don't have sound Coffee Maker - didn't work Alarm Clock - set a wake up alarm, buzzer only had a low static hum. Not Loyd enough to wake me Wifi - unsecured and not robust enough to work efficiently Lastly, my vehicle was vandalized and someone broke off my rear window wiper

Since the 1850s, when stagecoaches carrying travelers between Tacoma and Kalama stopped for the night, Centralia, Washington has been known for its hospitality. This tradition continues at the Peppermill Empress Inn, where visitors to Centralia always find a warm welcome, attractive rates, and clean, comfortable accommodations. The Peppermill Empress Inn offers large, clean rooms and a prime location, conveniently located just off I5, but undisturbed by freeway noise. Guests enjoy free WiFi, free continental breakfasts, and free parking. Guests at the Peppermill Empress in Centralia enjoy the spaciousness of large, clean, and comfortable rooms. Accommodations feature both single king, single queen, or double queen beds, and every room features free WiFi,32 inch flat screen T.V. with HD and Premium channels, a microwave, refrigerator, and more. The bathrooms are large, and some offer whirlpool baths.
'Adequate' is what I would call this modest hotel. I believe all guests would prefer accommodations to be quiet, clean and comfortable with a few amenities. This hotel was quiet (hardly anyone else in the place), it was clean, but the amenities were on the slight side. The entire property is quite dated with very little nod made to the need for electric outlets, etc. The furnishings are outdated and the king mattress needed replaced. The pillows were barely the size of a small sofa pillow. The tv wasn't much bigger. The breakfast was adequate with the basics...nothing hot except for a toaster for breads. The boiled eggs were on ice and not fresh. The staff on check-in was not overly friendly but the staff on check-out made up for it. For the price I would kick up another $25-$40 and find a more popular chain. Also, the hotel is immediately adjacent to I-5....there was some traffic noise.

Very much enjoyed my stay and the guy at the desk is always good to us when we pass through. The rooms are always exactly what we need for some rest as we travel frequently with live stock across the country.

Lakeview Inn Centralia is conveniently located off of I-5 Exit 81. Centralia is nestled between Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. Located next to Plummer Lake, all of our guest rooms have a beautiful view of the lake.
Positive: The lake view is beautiful from your room window plus opening your own back door within your room to enjoy the lake. Liked the idea of my own refrig, microwave & coffeepot. Front desk folks were friendly entire visit of 6 days. Quiet establishment. Even tho you see highway you are far enough not to hear noise. Negative: Housekeeping is not maintained in a clean manner. Bed was made daily, yet sheets not changed. Clean towels were left and that seems to be the only things accomplished. Seems I found my hair from drying still on floor and other areas in bathroom, daily. Coffee pot was not cleaned daily. I found myself emptying grounds and cleaning pot daily. I dusted room plus used clorox wipes to clean because of covid-19. My wipes were dirty with dust. I found a piece of "clean" leftover clothes behind nightstand from prior guest. Saw papertowl under tv stand. No vacuuming, at least I felt like.there wasn't. This is a quaint older Inn but wish they would take better care of cleanliness within the room.

I was disgusted and ripped off. The toilet didn’t flush, shower didn’t drain, hole in the wall, bullet hole in the window, flimsy outlets, pee stains on the bed covers, nasty carpets, mold on the ceilings, random food on the floor that wasn't ours, trash and socks under my bed, the whole place smelled like a prorated potty, there were trash bags in the hallway overnight, the pool was green and the hot tub was empty, the breakfast was closed by the Heath department shutting it down, (not that I would want to eat here anyway) due to the front desk guy snoring I couldn’t complain. I would rather sleep in the Walmart down the road. Quite the adventure though. Disgusting-ness of it made my volleyball team bond thought.

The historic Centralia Square Grand Ballroom and Hotel has undergone an extensive restoration. Newly returned back to its original 1920s grandeur are the gorgeous Grand Ballroom with its full stage and orchestra balcony, the Parkview Outdoor Terrace overlooking Washington Park as well as 16 vintage hotel rooms and suites! We also offer a large adjoining parking lot for the convenience of our guests. NOTE: The Centralia Square Grand Ballroom and Hotel is conveniently located in historic downtown Centralia just a short walking distance from numerous restaurants, shops and the beautifully restored Centralia Train Depot. The weekends here are an especially vibrant time with weddings and other celebrations taking place in our newly restored Grand Ballroom. Groups seeking an early bedtime or greater tranquility should request rooms far from the terrace and ballroom areas or join us for a less crowded mid-week stay.
The rooms are adorable. Very clean, nice staff however there is an extremely noisy event tonight scheduled until 1 am. We would change to another facility but it is an icy night, seems safer to stay although we know there will be no sleep for us.

Love how you staff the towel return but have one guard run two slides. Not cool. I gave up slides after watching inconsistencies in the guard rotation. Always one would watch two slides (past visits it was one per slide). Some would allow two tubes in the intake area, then get both tubes into the launch area with orders to go when the green light went on, then go to the other launch area. A rope would keep the rest of the line back. Others would allow one tube in at a time, hold the tube, launch it then go to the next deploy area. This severely held up the line. Magiquest: a coat of paint...updates....broken animations. The magic is gone....double the price and I'm feeling really let down! Staff is awesome....but there needs to be MORE staffing.. Magiquest shop had one guy assembling and the other activating. One hour wait.

This really is a diamond in the rough. The owner Mitch was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and it is very clear the owner is in the process of renovating rooms. Is it a fancy 5 star hotel with all the bells and whistles? Not yet, but I believe the enthusiasm and passion the owner clearly has for this place it very well could be. Close to lots of shopping and restraunts. Great location. Will definitely stay here again.
