Reviewed By meyesaiDon’t expect to get any rest at this DoubleTree. We booked a hotel room for 3 nights. Room 201, the East wing of the hotel, right next to the retail shops (Marshalls), and above their delivery dock and industrial trash compactor. The rooms were nice & clean. However, you will not be able to have a restful stay at all. Friday night, we were awakened at 3:30am, by a big rig truck, delivering or picking up something. Not sure if it was working for the hotel or the retail, but after this, it was not easy to fall asleep again. Song with this nuisance the doors below us (staff entrance) would open and be slammed non-stop for the next hour. Saturday morning we told the front desk staff about the issue. They said they would move us on the other side of the hotel, but they had to wait for guests to check out (which they assured us they would have) and they could hold a new double room for us. We told them we would be back later after our event, to get the room. Later that day, upon returning to the hotel around 4pm, we came back to the front desk, there was new shift working the front desk. They told us they did not have a new room for us, and that they were fully booked, and were “prioritizing large groups” and did not have a new room for us. Extremely disappointing! Nothing we could do. The next issue was Monday morning. Awakened again, by the hotels laundry delivery service truck at 6am!!!! Rolling his Containers into and out of the truck, using the load lift gate each time. The rooms should be made sound proof, with sound proof windows as well. The hotel should also have an agreement with the retail businesses to not disrupt hotel guests with their deliveries and use of the trash compactor in the middle of the night! Bottom line, the fact that guests could not have a restful nights stay at a hotel, is not good for a hotel! I mean, isn’t this the main purpose for hotels?! For guests to be able to sleep comfortably without disruption?! So beware of this HUGE issue if you decide to actually book a room with this DoubleTree Hilton Hotel.

On the way to Campbell, I read the reviews...had no idea the property was in such bad shape these days. When we arrived at the hotel, I asked to see the room. Manager Melissa eagerly showed us the room. Halls were dirty and stained but the rooms were spic and span so we took a chance and stayed. Later Melissa and I chatted. She explained she was the new manager and yes the hotel needed new carpets, new window screens as needed, new air conditions as needed and the list goes on...as Corporate releases more funds each month, she feels the entire hotel will be in ship shape soon. Note: while we were there workers arrived to replace stacks of room air conditioners. Melissa is full of energy and is working hard to bring back the Larkspur to its former self. Front desk efficient and friendly. Met the maids in the hall every morning. They too were friendly and accommodating. Lounge was not open, no breakfast, but grab and go breakfast to start in May. The small bar was open. Being a travel agent myself, I have great hopes for this property. Take another look!

What a terrible smellly hotel with incompetent staff
Reviewed By kaE1562KBI’m really surprised there aren’t more critical reviews , it’s possible I’ve had a unique and awful experience though. Arrived late after a long flight could not get a luggage rack , had to walk everything up . The room absolutely Reeked of bleach and cigarettes like a gross motel . There was snot on the shower curtain , couldn’t open the window not even a crack for fresh air . No decent facilities for a coffee or tea in room the coffee machine was filthy the cups had some disgusting white residue in the bottom Like they were already used . On the second morning I ran into housekeeping outside my room who looked like she was heading our way so I asked her to please change the sheets , we needed towels and TP she asked what room number to confirm and she said she would go in there next as we are leaving for the day. I was shocked and angry when I came back at 8 pm that evening with a very tired child to see the room untouched And the room smells putrid from lack of air and no cleaning done . I complained as I was very irritated , the solutions offered were not realistic and included moving out room but we had a ton of stuff with us and moving when my six year old was half asleep and acting up wouldn’t work So i slept in the bed my daughter wet the prev night by accident as we had no new sheets it was still wet and uncomfortable the sheets were coming off the bed and I got no sleep We didn’t have one clean towel and then in the morning realised we also had no toilet paper I was so so angry , at 8 am the following morning we left for the day , we arrived back at 3pm to see again the room still untouched. At this point I hit the roof . The staff were ridiculously ill equipped to deal with the matter And the management were clearly unable . At this point we checked out despite the room being paid . I have never had a worse experience in my life . If we had gone camping we would have received better service , and had better facilities. Absolute worse experience of my life , I left with my things packed , crying , no apology , the woman manager Lana literally avoided me , turning her back every time I passed pretending to be busy every time I walked by with more belongings to the car. Refusing to address the matter . Don’t use this hotel it’s disgusting and the staff don’t know what they are doing

DISAPPOINTING AND DIRTY

We made our reservation (which was supposed to be fully refundable) and checked in to the property, Campbell Inn in Campbell CA (Warning do not stay there it's filthy and the management has total disregard for customer concerns). As soon as we get into our room we noticed how dirty and the state of disrepair it was in. Immediately called Hotels.com to cancel and they said we have to go through the property, went to Campbell Inn management they said we had to go through Hotels.com. Ultimately both refused to cancel our reservation, despite assurance to the contrary. The room was nothing like the picture and video posted on the Campbell Inn website. The entire episode was disappointing and an example of the types of businesses out there just to rip people off. Keep in mind the pictures can not convey the smell of the room. I have leased ALWAYS BOOK DIRECTLY WITHT THE PROPERTY, NEVER USE A "THIRD PARTY".

Great Boutique Hotel
Reviewed By 748vickiwJust finished a 2 night stay at the Bristol. The hotel was clean, quiet and in a perfect location for our needs. I felt safe and secure at all times and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has an old world charm and the room was very spacious as was the bathroom. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it it whole heartedly.

Impossible to sleep!
Reviewed By Inspire20743270307Impossible to sleep because of the motorway just in front of your windows ; have a look on a map (the glass of the windows are so thin that you have the impression to be outside). AC not cooling the room. No refill of soap, shampoo… even when staying four nights. Probably one of the worst experience on my side.
