Premier Inn Hotel Braintree A120 might be in beautiful countryside, but it's less than a mile from discount shopping, two miles from the town centre, and also handy for other attractions. Business destinations including Stansted Airport, Braintree Business Park and Broomhills Industrial Estate are all just minutes away. You're on hand for bargains at the Freeport Braintree Shopping Outlet, as well as the great outdoors at Great Notley Discovery Park. And you'll easily make the wedding if it's at The Fennes, Leez Priory or Hedingham Castle. Round off your day at the Brewers Inn pub restaurant before a peaceful night in your spacious room and comfy bed.
The hotel was nice apart from the temperature in the room was hot and the Thermostat wasn't working so couldn't turn it down. But over all a pleasant stay. The food in the restaurant was very nice. The rooms was clean and tidy. People upstairs was quite lound though banging around and walking around at all hours.

Bag some bargains at the Premier Inn Hotel Braintree Freeport Village - peacefully situated just over half a mile from Freeport Designer Village. We're the same distance from the Freeport Train Station with fast links to Stansted Airport and Greater London. Business guests are also well placed here. Retail might be less on your mind though if you're on the guest list at wedding venues The Fennes, Gosfield Hall and Leez Priory. Or if you fancy history at Hedingham Castle or some outdoor fun at Great Notley Country Park. Whatever brings you to Braintree, enjoy all the comforts you'd expect including an onsite restaurant, a spacious room and a comfy bed.
I stayed at this hotel the night before my daughters wedding. We booked three rooms. One member of staff was on duty . We waited 45 mins to check in because another booking felt their data protection had been revealed in an email . We booked breakfast and went to our rooms. Understandably we needed to shower but two of the rooms had limescale in the shower heads. These are very high up and couldn’t be reached to clean. Bear in mind these are not the showers that you can use to wash your body , you either stand under them or don’t shower! Due to the limescale, the water didn’t come out very fast so we ended up using the shower from the one room that was ok. I did go to reception to let their one staff member know but nobody was at the desk. Next morning, even though we booked five breakfasts we were advised they hadn’t been booked. Take no notice of the ad ‘unlimited breakfast’ What we eventually got served was inedible. We were refunded for the food we didn’t get but they refused to do anything about the shower issue purely because I didn’t manage to find their one staff member the night before and log the complaint. They felt it was only fair to other customers that I adhere to this policy! Apparently there’s a button on the desk that I should’ve found and pressed! Dirty slow showers are not advertised. Personally I now feel it’s fair to potential future customers to make them aware of this hotel and their appalling customer service and dirty showers We were looking forward to a nice evening where we could get ready for a wedding but this was not to be!

Travelodge Braintree is perfectly situated for both work and leisure. Victoria Square bus park is directly in front of the hotel, Braintree train station is only short walk away while and we're also close to the A120 for easy commuting. The hotel is also placed close to Braintree Village, a designer outlet centre with premium home and fashion brands, multiple restaurant choices, a cinema and bowling alley which is just a short drive away and can also be accessed via bus which comes directly to the bus park outside the hotel. We also have an on-site bar café which serves a full English buffet breakfast and evening meals.
Under staffed, staff inexperienced and clearly didn’t want to be there. As it was new it was clean and tidy. Bed was uncomfortable, unusual! Shower was died too high for me to wash all my body and the head couldn’t be taken off to be used as it was tied up high. Booked breakfast, not worth the £18 it cost, too many faults to list here!

So I was looking to get away for an evening for some Daddy/Daughter(8) time and stumbled upon this place. For a 4x4m tent the price was very reasonable, and 2 “concepts” stood out. The stove inside the tent, and the communal bar area. We’ve been glamping a few times, and not experienced this before. Prior to arrival I had a good chat with Jay(owner) who gave me an insight into what to expect etc, and was very helpful. On the day I also received a call from his partner Victoria who was great in making sure we knew how to get there. So on arrival you park up about 100m from the tents. The surface is uneven, but it’s a field lol. We expected that but just a word of note for those who maybe expect different. The “wild” element we really appreciated as it means people and nature can co-habit!! We make it to the bar area with Victoria runs through t&c and then shows us the showers and toilets. They were as described, rustic but do the job (think shed with either a shower or a toilet), again totally fine and exactly what we expected. We were shown the crazy golf and air rifle range but not for us this time. The tent was lovely. Linen smelt lovely and fresh. We spent the afternoon around the bar playing pool (free) and having a chat and a drink. Victoria was v.friendly and also met another couple & their dog. We met them all again later when BBQing in the communal area (BBQ supplied) with a bit of music playing and just a really nice feel. Cooked our own food, then sat at the bar chatting away before eventually retiring to our tent. I put the stove on and quickly heated up the tent for us. Woke in the morning and had such a nice comfortable sleep. Put the stove back on, ventured outside and made breakfast. I huge thank you to Victoria. She was really welcoming and was a big part of what was so nice about Wild Camping. I understand this is a brand new venture, so there might be teething issues along the way, but none that we witnessed. Loved the fact there is entertainment on peak weekends. Watched videos of what has been on offer and it’s really amazing and fun. Also love that you can hire bikes for the day (very cheap!!) If I was to offer any tips(I’m known for an opinion) 1) offer linen as an “add on” must be a lot of hassle and cost when people might be ok to bring their own (we would be for the price) 2) do your BBQ packs for 2. We would have brought one 3) mini milk sachet’s. 4) add ons such as breakfast baskets, hot chocolate, marshmallow fondue, pamper packs, would all go down a storm 5) board games in the bar area 6) do a “family” weekend offer and entertainment around kids. Adults being able to drink at the bar whilst their kids are amused is an absolute winner!! Thank you guys, totally loved it and will be back

Sorry but that breakfast that was served this morning was terrible. Under cooked sausages, bacon and cold beans. I think full plates being left should have given you a hint that something was not right. We would have said something but the staff had disappeared and we had to leave.
