Warm and inviting place to stay
Reviewed By Booter1My husband and I stayed in Franco's for six nights. Franco is a gracious host. The room was quiet and had a balcony to overlook the town. The train station is 300 yards from the B&B for easy access to Lucca,the Coast, Florence, Cinque Terre, and all that Tuscany has to offer, so we did not need a rental car. Every morning, at our requested time, Franco would offer yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries, a choice of beverage, as well as prepare one of his specialties of the day with breads from the local bakery combined with vegetables from his garden, meats and cheeses in various combinations. The cozy tavern room where breakfast was served,was a relaxing way to end the day as well..

Reviewed By NerdFunWe happened upon this hotel by chance one night while traveling around Lucca. After having stopped for dinner nearby we asked the server for a tip on a local place to stay. Without hesitation he mentioned The Milano. Though it was getting later in the evening we took our chances and made our way over. Marco, the proprietor, greeted us warmly and made us feel very welcome. That night we had the best night's sleep of our entire vacation. The breakfast offerings were plentiful and we found the hotel and grounds to be quite charming when we checked out the placed in the daylight. I wish we would have had a chance to get in the hot tub but I think we'll just have to come back and explore more next time,

Reviewed By odazedAn incredibly relaxing stay nestled in the natural scenario of the Tuscan hills, highlighted by a truly gorgeous swimming pool. The ambience is rustically elegant and very silent, the staff is highly competent and friendly. The selection of food is quite extensive for both lunch and dinner, and of very high quality no matter your pick. A must stay!

Der er basis for gode gå- og cykelture. Ingen butikker eller restauranter, men værtsparret tilbyder morgen- og aftensmad mod betaling. Det tager ca. 30 minutter at køre de 8 kilometer op til byen.

Reviewed By lealise2018We stayed over a week in San Rocchino... We appreciated the excellent taste in interior design, the quietness of the place and the wild life ! (we got to see boars, scorpios and fox !) The area is rustic and out of the beaten tracks, and a true pleasure for relaxation. This is not the Tuscany from post cards with cypress trees... It is more of a small moutains, hilly landscape: the region area is called Garfagnana... Still, you are not that far if you want to visit the nearby cities of Lucca (a gem), Pisa... Wifi is a bit hectic and works only on certain areas. Monica is very discreet but she has excellent recommendations to visit the area.
