The room was clean, breakfast is just basic fruit, cereal breads to toast or donuts if you go for the continental breakfast which is around 7 dollars. Front desk people are nice and friendly. Only issue was housekeeping tried to come in while we were in room on the day of checkout and they tried to do this around 10ish and check out is 12pm

Samantha is just absolutely great, she goes above and beyond for her guests and it shows. I work at a comfort inn in Connecticut and she was very accommodating to get us an early check in. The breakfast area was clean and alot of choices. Thank you again for everything.

I'm always skeptical about small hotels located in the center of town as they can attract sketchy people, however, this one is exceptional! We were very impressed with everything. The front desk woman was very pleasant, our room was spacious, quiet, had good water pressure and most importantly- CLEAN. The building and grounds are maintained. The hotel sits far enough off the road that traffic noise is non-existent and there is plenty of parking on property. A microwave, mini fridge and 2 chairs to use on the balcony, (all the second floor rooms have a balcony), were nice perks for an affordable price. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone who will be visiting the Auburn area. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Theresa clearly does all she can to ensure your stay is comfortable. The rooms are spacious -- ours had a walk-in closet! Breakfasts were delicious. It's easy to get to and has an adjacent parking lot. You can walk to a couple bars/restaurants or take the walking bridge to Lewiston to restaurants there.

We knew the price was probably increased because it was parents weekend at the local college, but 270 dollars a night for this place is ridiculous! The friendly front desk clerk said our room was one of the newer renovated rooms. I would hate to see what the non renovated rooms looked like!! The sheets and towels were clean, but that was about it! The bathroom was gross, old moldly grout, cracked plaster around the soap dish, dirty floor, a pubic hair floating in the toilet!! The bedspread was stained. The room did have a working TV, working small refrigerator, and working coffee maker. 70 dollars a night is the MOST they should ever think of charging for this room!! There was a bus idling in the parking lot for hours.

Enjoy warm hospitality at The Munroe Inn, a historic home located in downtown Auburn. This beautiful Queen Anne home was built in 1899 by the Munroe family, who ran a shoe manufacturing business in Auburn. We are the only hotel accomodation in the Lewiston-Auburn area that is on The National Register of Historic Places. Our beautiful suites are designed with your comfort and pleasure in mind. Each Suite is fully equipped with a private bath, a workspace area, and an air-condition unit. We offer a three-course breakfast, focusing on organic local produce and family recipes. We accommodate early or late check-in and a flexible breakfast schedule for business and leisure-minded travelers. Every suite has work area for those travelers who needs to work during their stay. Inn is a licensed hospitality lodging. We have an excellent record with the Historic Preservation Commission and with the Health Department.
My daughter and I visited Bates College (Lewiston) and stayed at the Munroe Inn (Auburn - twin city). Because we were visiting after Columbus Day, we had the place to ourselves - it was incredibly peaceful. We stayed in the Maria Suite which is quite a large room. The bed was very comfortable, the room and bathroom quite spacious, the decor eclectic. There was a parking space next to the inn. A grocery store is within walking distance. Bates is about a 8-10 minute drive away. Best of all was Olga's fantastic breakfast. We had delicious greek yogurt and homemade jam, a homemade pastry, eggs scrambled with bok choy and fresh tomatoes (as Olga said, Asian style), fresh apple cider with ginger, and French-pressed coffee. Olga also kindly washed my jeans and shirt (I had spilled Thai sauce on them the night before.) I was very grateful for her extra help. My original plan was to stay one night at the Inn and then the second night in Portland to catch a 6AM flight, but the Portland hotel options were not appealing in comparison to the tranquility of the Munroe Inn. We opted to stay a second night and leave early from the Inn. (Note - best to leave by 4AM to catch a 6AM flight in Portland.) If my daughter ends up going to Bates, I'm sure the Munroe Inn will be our go-to when visiting her. Thank you Olga for such a pleasant stay!
