Great place but not covid safe
Reviewed By mamat777Great location, very nice atmosphere, fine dinner and ok bed. But this place is very riskyvfor covid: they dont check the "pass sanitaire" and they let everyone (24 people) in the same small room during dinner without any ventilation (no open window). We were many people qt the table very uncomfortable with the situation. I will not go back...

Excellent gite
Reviewed By Anna WA really lovely gite in a stunning location. We were welcomed warmly after our day's hike and shown to our gite- we were very pleasantly surprised! Big room and bathroom, lovely decor, very clean and comfortable. Dinner was very good - a salad to start then rice, lentils, and a meat dish followed by banana cake. There was also copious rum to accompany dinner (included). We spent a very pleasant evening chatting to the other guests and eating. After going outside to look at the stars (very visible from this location) we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was bread, butter, jam, hot drinks and orange juice. Would highly recommend staying here.

Favorite gite of our trek
Reviewed By widomAdding to the other positive reviews, our family from the USA hiking the GR-R2 very much enjoyed our stay at Gite Fleur des Orangers. The four-bed dorm and double room were clean and comfortable, nice bathrooms and showers, delicious food, and a warm welcome from Daniela. One of our favorite stops on the 10-day trek. Highly recommended!

Amazing!
Reviewed By laetishStayed there overnight with some friends and my husband. We both had a private room and our friends a shared room. It was very quiet and the food was soooo good. Very clean as well and well maintained. The place to stay when you go to Mafate

Gîte sans intérêt
Reviewed By villasrubiasNous avons réservé dans ce gîte rassurés par les commentaires. Bon ceux ci sont anciens peut être que cela explique le déconvenue. L’accueil n’en fut pas un, déçus nous sommes habitués à échanger quelques mots avec les hôtes. Ici rien on arrive, on voit qu’on gêne, on nous emmène au dortoir (qu’on partage avec 5 gars alors qu’on est 5 filles) sans nous prévenir. La salle de bain est assez sale. En revanche le repas du soir était bon. Le cari bien cuisiné même s’il manquait un peu en quantité. Nous ne reviendrons pas.

Très mauvais gite
Reviewed By Sitl00Le gîte est très isolé et les « bungalows » sont extrêmement rudimentaires. Les lits font partie des pires de Mafate avec des matelas déformés. Tout est en mauvais état Madame Cernot ne s’exprime quasiment pas. Le repas dans une salle qui ressemble à un hangar de stockage est correct. On retrouve ici le confort et la prestation des gites de Mafate d’il y’a 20 ans, sans la chaleur des hôtes de cette époque. Le tarif par contre est très actuel, c’est à dire totalement exorbitant au vu des prestations......
