Located by Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh Museum is a majestic black pearl overlooking the world heritage. Expect to immerse yourself in the most impressive architecture in the locality showcasing millennia of our geology, biodiversity, history and culture. In addition to the exhibition area, the museum provides large and multifunctional spaces for meetings, adorned with professional facilities to promise successful events.
This was one of the highlights situated near the amazing entertainment centre, this museum told the many histories of Vietnam through excellent exhibits. Thoroughly enjoyable experience.

This was a great experience, we went on a small boat and were taken around the floating village on a small row boat, the lady scooped the water out before we got in! It was raining heavily but it didn't deter from the visit. In the visitors centre we learnt about the history of the village and the staff even offered to sing us a traditional marriage song for us.

Spectacular views from atop Poem Mountain, as advised my host Mr Dinh, whose accommodation establishment advises visitors on lesser-known yet dramatic vista's of the Bay. The entrance to this mountain is hidden and without the advice of locals, you are not likely to find it. The walk to the top is onerous, mostly steps and well-shaped rocks all the way to the top. It is steep, so wear proper hiking shoes and take along water. Also be sure to visit the loo before you climb ; there are no suitable spots for emergencies. Young and old may ascend, some faster than others. You may pause intermittently to catch your breath. I went up around 5pm and remember the dramatic sunset hues colouring the Bay. Had it not been for my gracious local host, I would not have known of these picturesque views, which surely ranks amongst the top in the world.
