Traveling from Albert to Rouen isnt a long way but finding somewhere to eat an eadable meal on the spur of the moment is not so easy. So finding this place was an absolute winner. As we travel in the region regularly we have made a note in the Sat Nav to take us back. The menu is varied including classic Normandie specialties, all the food was fresh and locally produced, service was how shall we say French- which means you dont have to rush in, rush through the food and rush of. Apart from the inside seating area there is a Garden and a Terrace. The restaurant is Tourist friendly so it might be best to call ahaed at busy times. Fortunately I did not bother to see if there was Wi-Fi. Tel No. = 02 35 90 84 01. e mail = [email protected]

Their menu on Facebook tempted me and I was not disappointed. The server spoke excellent English to my horrible French. The wine flowed easily. A vegetarian meal not on the menu was prepared for me while my family ate well of typical Normandy fare with fresh fish. Look around and see local people enjoying their meals and you will know you chose the right place. We did.

We had a delicious lunch at this wonderful little restaurant in the tiny village of Morgny. The service was excellent and the food we ordered was exquisite. We had a delicious scallops on a bed of leeks to start with followed by duck breast for mains. It was also very reasonably priced!Dear SuzieLee71,Many thanks for your nice message. We are glad you enjoyed your meal. You are our first Australian visitors. We hope to see you again for other holidays in France.Bruno His

La patronne fait tout en cette veille de repos...Un peu long donc...Pas de pizza ce jour de chaleur mais des planches copieuses avec de bons produits locaux ou italiens. Vraiment bien.

This hotel is just off the main square of the very attractive and up market small town of Lyons La Foret. We booked on line. We arrived at the time we had specified, after dark in the pouring rain. We had great difficulty finding the hotel and eventually had to ask at a neighbouring hotel. They directed us to the entirely unlit and locked hotel. In the very meagre street lighting it was impossible to see what it was, there was no door we could open, no bell, no notice saying how to check in that we could see in the gloom. We went back to the neighbouring hotel and the receptionist grumbled that there should be someone there and she was on her own. It turns out that the two hotels are owned by the same person. The receptionist took us down to the hotel, led us up a very slippery and slightly rickety external staircase (not suitable for those with any mobility issues) unlocked the door and showed us into our room. Once in, the room was fine, nicely decorated, a good size with a smart recently refurbished bathroom with the full range of facilities and the bed was comfortable. We discovered the shower was a bit feeble in operation. Despite being right on the main street it was very quiet. We ate at the other hotel (LâLicorne see separate review by the same reviewer) as the restaurant in our hotel was closed that night (like everything else).Overall apart from the very poor customer service at the outset it was a nice room and we spent pleasant night. The breakfast was OK, served in the adjacent hotel in a very attractive well presented and decorated dining room. The croissants not great but, unusually for France quite nice scrambled egg and grilled bacon was on offer. I had to ask for hot milk for my coffee, clearly this was not considered normal, and the coffee itself wasnât great or particularly hot. Overall, not bad but not really quite worth the money (â¬95 for the double room â¬13 person for breakfast

This little cafe was the only place open when we visited Lyons la Foret on a cold day in November. We had a pleasant lunch of a large ham salad for 9 euros and a huge Savoyard bruschetta. Unlike other reviewers we found the service to be quick and efficient.

We were welcomed although we had no reservation and the restaurant was very busy. The service was professional and reasonably attentive, and our meals beautifully presented and flavoursome. The restaurant is nicely decorated, with exposed timbers and a window overlooking the kitchen so we could watch the chefs preparing our meals. The prices were high with entrees around 18-22â¬.Dear KatieClem46,Thank you so much for your positive TripAdvisor comment. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your time with us and that the decoration of our Bistrot and specially the service met your expectations. It would be a pleasure to welcome you in the near future.Best Regards,Eugénia Dobrovolskihh

We where thrilled to sit down to a good meal on a bad day, the room is lovely, the table well presented, but our local 2 knives and forks cooks a great deal better in Agen area , maybe it was the chefs night off
