We stopped here to do research on my paternal families and were highly impressed with the breadth of the resources they provide, the organization of them and the incredible personal help they provide. In addition they have a lot of general information about how the region was settled, by whom and when. If you are a history buff this is a must stop.

This is a good size antique mall with over 100 dealers. The main aisles were wide and clear and there were only a couple of cluttered booths. All the others were very well organized, room to move around, and you could see everything in the booth without having to move items. You can find small collectibles, pottery, furniture, books/magazines/comic books, musical items, NASCAR items, mountain crafts, advertising, country items, toys, lighting, art, vintage clothes/jewelry, glassware, cookie jars, kitchenware, china and much more. They also offer a snack center. I walked out with some small items to add to my collections.

While this sits along Interstate 81, it is so peaceful and quiet when you get there. It is a small gem but we were glad we stopped. It was nice just sitting inside for a short while. We also enjoyed reading notes other visitors had left.

Always looking for interesting things on our journey across the USA. And we are constantly amazed at what is out there. We stopped for lunch at Flourz and walked around town. The largest pencil is a marketing tool for the office supply store but it is a great photo op and fun to see. Learned about the rivalry with the other store across the street. No dull moments on our trip! Do go inside to see the giant scissors and the giant ruler.
