Bahrija Oasis is a permaculture off-grid ecological farm close to Rabat, Malta. It is in a beautiful yet occasional windy area of Malta. Our farm is more like a natural refuge where one can find peace and connection. It is suitable for whoever wants to spend a few days living off the grid and experiencing simplicity. We also organize group visits and team building eco activities. Please note its strictly vegetarian food only and no smoking within the farm space. Our rooms are geodesic domes specially designed to cocoon you from the chaotic world!

Shop in Rabat selling homemade Traditional Maltese Pastries and Hand-made Maltese soft and brittle Nougat, made by the owner himself.
We had a relaxing walk around Mdina and Rabat, and came across a local bakery and nougat shop - a simple counter facing the main square. The guy was providing free samples to the tourists (via his tongs), and i was next in line.... I dont usually accept free samples, but this guy said he is the Baker, so i tried it. It was fantastic, so summand the Boss over to taste it. The Baker / oqner said he bakes all the cakes on display in the next town, and brings it here to sell. A good job too! We bought a few cakes for later when we went back on the bus to velleta. I would thoughly recommend.

We went here with a Game of thrones tour, and seeing that several of the scenes were filmed here the place is a must if you can get here easily! The building is beautiful on it's own and the connection just made it that much better! There are several sundials and some of the original, more colourful floor can be seen in some of the rooms.

This lovely church and catacombs is well worth a visit. The lovely custodian explained everything so well and really brought it to life for us, she is clearly very proud of the place and understandably so. Look out for the chisel marks, imagine the suffering of the men working in such cramped conditions. The ‘table’ in the middle where they had a feast to celebrate after the burial and the small hollows for burial of children. - easy to imagine how it was used. Excellent.
