We stumbled upon this restaurant after a long days driving and are sure to become regulars. The food was cooked to order and of a high quality with the service being attentive though not overbearing. The túrógombóc were the best I have ever tasted, unbelievably light and not in the least stodgy as many tend to be. Between five of us we had two starters, five mins, five desserts, wine, soft drinks and hot chocolate and whilst we are used to eating out being inexpensive in Hungary, even I was shocked when presented with a bill for the equivalent of only £26!If you are in the area then this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant is located right across the road from a studio where I have a one-month residency and I came here every week-day to try the set menu. The Menü, as it is called, offers a soup and a choice of two main meals for less than a thousand forint (around $5 aud or 3.5 euro). It's different every day, and the staff are aways super friendly and helpful. The manager speaks fluent English and is always happy to explain the options (and translate the uniquely Hungarian dishes). Not to be missed if you're after a good lunch in Zalaegerszeg!

Egy kedves barátommal tértünk be ide, hogy egy finom süteményt együnk. Sajnos azt kell mondanom, hogy kis hölgy , aki kiszolgált, abszolút nem volt a helyzet magaslatán. A két Somlói Galuska sajnos nem éppen esett jól a gyomrunknak de ez sajnos késÅbb derült csak ki. Ãsszességében sajnos gyengének nevezném a helyet, pedig a sütemények a pultban szépek. Mint minden más hely, ez is megérdemel egy második esélyt még. :)

This place was recommended us owner of nosztalgia pension, where we spent 2 nights ( by the way - very good pension) it offers delicious food, at great prices. Hidden somewhere in the side of the city has a lot to offer.Operated by young owner with smile and some knowledge of German language will be your good end of the day.Although interior is not its strongest side, come and try it's food !

Onlangs hier gegeten met familie. Het eten is aardig, had de kip wrap met honing mosterd saus besteld. Was niet helemaal mijn ding (veel saus, bacon niet krokant etc.). Niet zo bijzonder. Ook had ik een smoothie besteld maar deze is minder gezond, wordt iets van suiker(siroop) in gedaan waardoor hij erg zoet is. De menukaart is alleen in het Hongaars dus dat is lastig. De taarten zijn wel super lekker, wat een keuze, hebben een aantal geprobeerd en allemaal heerlijk!

Following reviews on Trip Advisor we had dinner here. The food was really good except for their version of paprika chicken - maybe just my preference but I was looking forward to the original version. The Gundel pancakes according to my brother were the best he has had in 20 years in Hungary.
