Lusaka, the capital and largest city in Zambia, can be a confusing and chaotic place for visitors not familiar with its unplanned neighborhoods and streets. Busy stores and shopping centers line Cairo Road and the surrounding area. Nearby covered markets sell anything from souvenir figurines to spare engine parts. Just south of Lusaka is the Munda Wanga Environmental Park, which features botanic gardens, a wildlife park and sanctuary, picnic areas, swimming pools, and a relaxing terrace bar.

"Mexican Flavoured Flame Grilled Chicken" combined with a specialised Mexican Foods menu. Taste the Fiesta..."Strictly Halaal"
Located in the middle of the brand-new Cosmopolitan Mall at Lusaka's south-end near Makeni, Mochachos Mexican chicken & steak restaurant is convenient for a quick bite, either sitting down or eaten on the run (there's also take-away and free delivery). Mochachos, part of a chain, is known for its flame-grilled chicken - which indeed is very good - but also serves burgers and fajitas, enchiladas and quesadillas, shawarmas and salads, plus small portions for children and soft-serve ice-cream, even the Zambian national dish nshima for those who can't do without. There is inside and outside seating, though the noise from the Mall prevents conversation, as a Mall loudspeaker with frequent advertising announcements is right outside the place. Service is a bit slow but quite attentive. In all, the food is quite good and the selection fairly wide, but not really worth going out of your way for.
Very good for lunch, open some evenings as well, in city centre +260 0977 774 481 #
Feels like you are going into someones house, but somehow captures a pub feel. Cocktails very good if a little slow to be served.

Went for a meal after work. Had the Rib eye, which was OK. I had a problem with the venue as the air-com was not working and Lusaka is not this time of the year!

LA BOTTEGA is an Italian cafeteria, pastry shop and restaurant created to sustain the In&out of the ghetto Ngo rooted in bauleni Compound, in the outskirt of Lusaka. You can taste Italian and zambian speciality. Come and support us, we are waiting for you
La Bottega has a lovely garden, perfect for a breakfast but also lunch or a snack. The personnel is friendly and the ambiance is cozy. The Italian pastries are simply delicious, try the Baci di dama or the Fiamma, they really taste like home! (I'm Italian, I can say it!). Moreover, the profits from the activity go funding a very active NGO in Lusaka's slums. I recommend it!!

Casa Portico is a great spot to relax with friends sipping on cocktails and good wine, centrally located so great for business meeting. A private vip is available
I had heard about the restaurant just over a year ago when I moved to Lusaka, but never got round to actually having dinner there. Finally got round to it the other day, and I cannot believe that it took me this long. Their food is extremely good value for money - a pizza costing around K60 (January 2018). Besides the value, it was also delicious!! We were a group of 4 friends who orders a variety of the starters and mains, and not a single person was dissapointed. They allow corkage, which is great for a wine-loving South African (restaurant prices in Lusaka are just absurd, as a side note). This is definitely one of those places you don't actually want to review, because you want to keep it a secret!

We are a Steak House, Specialised in ageing our own meat to tender perfection. Children and family Friendly, also perfect for business meetings or just a casual lunch and dinner. We also host private and corporate cocktails and events.
Large semi outdoors barbeque joint. The tables are extensive with benches and also some seats. The food is good, not exceptional but pretty reasonable. We had a self service buffet experience with serving trays. Good choice, but fairly standard stuff (chicken, fish, Beef, Steamed veggies, salads, potato, noodles, pasta etc. All tasty if not inspired.

My first visit since they have shifted to Showground. The restaurant has been renovated and spacious. It has some playground for kids so would be good to go with kids for lunch. I had a beefburger and it was nicely done with bacon, mushroom, cheese etc so it looked and tasted good. I always like the bread they bake. As it was a bit windy, the smell from the polo ground slightly bothered my friend (I don't mind). Food is ok, but for the price not worth it! Very expensive for what you get. Not the best service and around the swimming pool area the people behave very inappropriate for a family restaurant. Been there before and it was the same (we went there as a family). They will definitely not see us again! I am more than a little disappointed to hear you describe inappropriate behaviour around the pool - as this is certainly something that we don't condone, and very rarely have cause for concern over. I would be very grateful if you would contact me directly (via the address on our TripAdvisor, or web page), so that I can gain a better understanding of what you experienced. Although I'm not always at the hotel personally, I am usually very in touch with things that concern our guests - and inappropriate behaviour I am very surprised wasn't reported to me!Grateful for your further feedback. Best wishes
