Nice setting, nothing on menu listed as GF or DF etc. Husband asked what oil was used to cook in and the staff member replied âI donât knowâ my husband had to ask them to check, they didnât offer The only thing I thought I could eat was sweet potato fries but a member of staff on clearing the table did say they do sell GF food. Where is it? Why donât you say this? How is anyone suppose to know? Staff just seemed everything was a bit to much effort. What a shame as itâs a nice place. This was our second visit but wonât be rushing back.

A pint-sized neighbourhood bistro & charcuterie bar. Serving tapas, small plates, cured meats & hot alpine ski dishes. Wine, sherry, ales & porters
My second visit on the eve of it's 2nd year birthday party. Wow, wow, wow as ever James and his team did not disappoint. I brought my father, visiting from Germany and an old chef himself, my brother and my youngest, normally quite fussy but adventurous. All were blown away. My youngest tried every dish and declared them all winners, which is some achievement, so well done team :-)I truly believe you will be hard pushed to find such quality as these sorts of prices. If only they delivered to Wakefield.

Visited thisrestaurant with family for a birthday celebration. We were given a friendly greeting and quickly shown to our table. All the food was excellent, hot and and beautifully presented. The manager was very friendly and spent time talking to us and making sure that everything was right.

We ate here on a Friday evening and certainly weren't disappointed! Carluccio's is usually very consistent, and as usual, we enjoyed a delicious meal. Must recommend the calamari - a small portion is adequate for two to share, given the mains are generous! We both had pasta dishes - I chose the crab & langoustine. Highlight is the Carluccio's hot chocolate, how do they get it so delicious? Honestly the best. Had that with a rum baba, divine. Thanks so much :-)Good morning Janine,Its great to read such a lovely review first thing on a morning! I look forward to passing your comments on to the team- they will be thrilled to see their hard work is reaping rewards.Hope to see you again soon,John

Having eaten here on a number of occasions and been very happy,I am sad to say my most recent meal along with 3other guests was simply terrible.1.restaurant was very cold inside making the experience uncomfortable.Heating provided was inadequate, not off to a good start, but held out for the food.2.food arrived finally, what could I taste?absolutley nothing, not been a user of salt at all,I had to apply this to give it some taste, asking my guests if there food was ok,I could see the embarisment on there faces,so,I had a taste of all the food, was a disaster, the pasta dish was simply just that, having to search for a King prawn in a over filled bowl,we found 5,sauce was tasteless.I knew the chicken dishes were also tasteless as one of them was mine,I have had this dish in the past without problem and was tasty,so what's gone wrong?3.complained to the waitress who obviously didn't pass our complaint on,either that or no one cares what you have to say,I make no appoligies for this dreadful review,as this was the very least I expected from the restaurant itself.

Exciting new tapas restaurant with offers on cocktails and an exciting new menu. Welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff and comfortable seating. Available for private booking for up to 50 people.
Three of us visited on a Wednesday evening, our aim is to try different cuisines. We have tried Thai, Greek, Persian, Turkish, Vietnamese, Indian, time to try tapas. We went for the Tapas offer including drinks £19.95.We each ordered Four tapas including several which carried a supplement. Plus a Seafood Paella. The staff were very helpful 're our drinks & choice of tapas.Drinks soon served, food served soon after. We had picked far too many dishes to name individually.Needless to say we had all eaten tapas before both in Spain & Portugal, and in Hull. But these we all rated the best.Great evening & we found room for desserts!Hello Mike,We are glad that you enjoyed your experience and food with us. Thank you for taking your time to leave such an amazing review. The service you describe is exactly what we aim to give.We hope to see you again soonMany thanksCentral42

Since opening in 2007, twins Matthew and Michele Barker, the partnership and passion behind The Westwood Restaurant, focus on offering high quality, locally sourced ingredients, showcasing the best of what the region has to offer. The Westwood has become
Booked for Saturday lunch and was not disappointed. The weather was lovely so we opted for a table outside in the lovely courtyard. The service was a bit over attentive, but friendly. The waitress told us about the daily specials and took our order for drinks then came back and took our food order. Whilst we were waiting for our main course, we overheard the waitress tell the people on the next table about the specials. She told them that whole grilled lobster was on that day. Our waitress had failed to mention this. Lobster is my favourite and I certainly would have ordered it. I didn't want to make a fuss so hid my disappointment and did not mention this to our waitress. The menu items were pricey, but we knew this before we came. I think, when you are paying nearly £30 for a main course that vegetables should be included but, not here. Each different vegetable side dish was £3.95 each. We both opted for the scallop starter, which was the most expensive on the menu, but we were not disappointed. There were 4 good sized king scallops presented in shells with the dressing. They were cooked to perfection and delicious. The mains, Wagyu bavette (posh name for fillet) and sea bream, were both very tasty. The side dishes of potatoes and mushrooms and broccoli were also good. For pudding, I chose the clafoutis, which was good but I think, could have been presented better. It came in it's baking dish with a blob of cream on the top. Perhaps a few seasonal fruits or mint leaves on a larger plate would have enhanced it's appearance. At £8.95, a tad overpriced. Two scoops of ice cream chosen by my better half was £6.00 and neither flavour was outstanding. There is a hefty 10% discretionary service charge but staff do ask if you are happy to pay this. I cannot see that many would refuse.Overall taking into consideration the setting, service and ambience I would recommend the Westwood if you want to splash out.

We are a new Turkish restaurant in Beverley with a broad Mediterranean menu. We have a menu with a wide variety of choices including vegetarian and gluten free.
Been several times now, as a group, a couple or as female friends having a get-together. Love it because it caters for so many different food preferences, and have also asked to 'mix and match' the tapas to suit dietary needs. It's a friendly place and has a pleasant atmosphere - would definitely recommend it, especially to new visitors to the town as it combines well with a walk through the Georgian Quarter near St. Mary's and/or the wonderful Westwood pastures.Thank you for your fantastic review! We are delighted to hear that you have enjoyed your dining experience with us at Istanbul. We are looking forward to seeing you again soon. Regards Istanbul Bar and grill Beverley
