Bristol is a quirky British city with beautiful hilly vistas and plenty of historic sights to explore. Anyone interested in ships will have a blast aboard Brunel’s SS Great Britain, the world’s first great oceanliner, and the Matthew, a replica of the ship upon which John Cabot sailed to America in the 15th century. The graceful Clifton Suspension Bridge is another must-see.

There's really nothing else quite like Beech House in Bristol. Set in a striking Victorian villa and a stylish contemporary mews building, our apartments are designed to be havens of tranquillity in the heart of the bustling city. Atmospheric period features, carefully-selected vintage, antique and contemporary furniture are married with sumptuous soft furnishings and bespoke fittings in the main Victorian villa, whilst the mews houses offer contemporary, stylish designs – all finished to the same, exacting standards. In the Victorian villa, you can choose between a studio, junior, one-bedroom or two-bedroom suite, with the mews houses offering the most spacious accommodation. Each apartment is individually-laid out with bespoke, luxurious furnishings chosen to make the most of it's particular layout and aspect. Lead crystal chandeliers, embroidered hand-made curtains, 1950s-inspired tweedy fabric sofas, carefully-selected works of art, high-end modern kitchen and bathroom fittings.

Make yourself at home in a studio, one bedroom or two bedroom apartment in Bristol’s most sought-after neighbourhood. Based in a Grade II-listed Edwardian building overlooking the river, you’re close to the city centre and just a short walk from the station. This creative locale proves central doesn’t have to mean soulless with its restaurants, bars, shops, markets, galleries, museums and outdoor activities. You could always just dangle your feet over the water and watch the world go by, too. Previously SACO Bristol - West India House (Refurbished August 2021)
We booked an apartment ‘plus’ for 3 adults. There was no bedding for the sofa and only 2 towels. Called and requested bedding but only given a sheet, no pillow or duvet. Bedroom looked very barren. had bare picture hooks on the wall and no furniture or tv like the photos show. Avoid room 4 on ground floor as you can hear the neighbouring pub through the wall. Good location though and fine for a short stay.

We stopped here for 2 nights. On the day of arrival I received an email asking me to provide a £250 security deposit. I knew to expect this as I had read previous reviews, but expected it to be charged to the card I paid with prior to arrival as indicated on my booking. Luckily I can do banking on my phone, but if this has been my parents I know they would have struggled. Check in was easy enough as staff were still onsite, but otherwise there is a keysafe system in place. We were given an apartment on the ground floor (it appears from the keysafes all were on the ground floor?) I wish we'd have known this when booking as the photos show ones on a higher level. Our apartment faced the road and was pretty noisy. The bedroom was by the road so our sleep was quite disturbed. The apartment was spacious and had all necessary facilities for a weekend stay. We are still quite cautious due to the ongoing pandemic and could easily cook/eat with the kitchen facilities on offer. Overall the place is basic and with abit of renovation would have huge potential. It was little things we noticed like the hairdryer indicated it was last PAC tested in 2018 and the radiator was held together with electrical tape in one place. We paid for parking for the 2 days as well. This was abit of a nightmare to be honest as cars parked behind the spaces (where they shouldn't have parked) making it really difficult to get in/out. This is a shared facility and something totally out of the control of staff, but frustrating nonetheless. If you want a basic and functional pad at a cheap cost to stay in the centre of Bristol I'd recommend, however personally we probably wouldn't stay again.

Stayed for a week, the apartment was everything we could have wished for. Beautifully decorated, looked brand new, very spacious and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was fully equipped for a self catering holiday. The 2 bedrooms were both spacious with plenty of storage space. The bathroom had a bath & separate shower. Free WiFi in apartment. We paid the extra for an allocated parking space (£10 a week day, weekends are free) - glad we did , as parking on the street was either permit holders or pay & display Mon - Friday. Clifton is a lovely area of Bristol, the apartment is in easy walking distance of the Downs (5 mins), Clifton Suspension Bridge (15 mins) and you can walk in to Bristol city center (30-40 mins). Very easy contactless check in and check out with Your Stay Bristol. Impressed with Your Stay Bristol customer service. Would highly recommend this apartment. Thank you for a perfect stay!

Having booked 3 apartments in November, for 10 of us to visit during February half term, we were excited to visit. We'd spent a lot on theatre tickets, pre paid activities and parking. Imagine our disappointment to recieve a phone call on Friday afternoon (due to arrive Tuesday morning) telling us that people already staying in 'our' apartments wanted to extend their stay, and that we couldnt come.. We suggested that the reason that our booking was cancelled because theyd been offered more money. This wasnt denied.. We eventually received a call from the manager who originally offered to put us up in x 3 Marriott rooms. We had specifically wanted to self cater- not possible in a hotel room and would have meant that 2 big children would have needed to share a double bed, in a room with parents. Eventually the only remaining apartment that could be sourced in Bristol at such short notice during the holidays was booked for 8 of us. This was wholly inadequate. We were travelling with a disabled child and it was on the 2nd and 3rd floors with no lift. It was 2.5 miles out of the centre and 2 members of the party had to stay elesewhere. We had been so looking forward to our stay and it was utterly spoiled. We've never been gazumped by a hotel before and it was very stressful and disappointing. They offered us a 30% discount on our next stay- think we'll pass on that, thanks!

We organised this accomodation from NZ. We were to have two weeks in Clifton Short lets. paid in full in advance. When we arrived they had double booked us. We were then moved from pillar to post. One night in another flat, two nights in a hotel in a very small room that was boiling hot. yes, we got breakfast with that but then when we eventually arrived at the Air bnb that was pre-booked it was hardly better than a squat. When you book Air BnB one assumes it is in someone's home. They even gave the name, Verity. I don't think Verity exists. The place was a shared house which we would not have even considered if we had known. On arrival there were instructions that said we were expected to share in cleaning of the communal areas , agin not mentioned in the initial ad. I wiped the bathroom floor with a issue after my shower and the floor was absolutely filthy. What a cheek. The ad. said there was Wifi, TV and washing machine. It was called a large Studio- Style Room, so one assumes all those facilities listed are in the room. Not only were they NOT but the only place we could get wifi was sitting on the Dirty stairs halfway up the house. generally utterly disgusting. The agent kept apologising and tried to do some things for us but in the end offered us the balance of out money back so we could leave. This meant we had to Pack and Move for the third time. Having just come off a 27 hr. flight this was the last thing we needed .Not only that, when the refund came though it was short by two days. When I called at the end to ask for some kind of reconciliation I was given assurances that the manager would call back. I have heard nothing and I believe that when I now try to call I am being blanked. Boo to Clifton Lets/ Air BnB, NEVER AGAIN P.S. The agent kept saying that it was "budget" I know budget, eg. Ibis Hotels which are far better, cleaner than this awful place.
