Our driver will pick you up at hotel lobby. It take about 2 hour’s drive from Beijing City to Jinshanling Great Wall and hike on the wall as long as you can. Jinshanling Wall is one of the best preserved parts of the Great Wall which may shows its charms to the hiking fans at all times. With a distance about 160 kilometers northeast of city. It is the most representative part of the Chinese brick-made dragon. Here, the landscape is drier and starker, but arguably more powerful, and it leaves you feeling that you're hiking through genuinely remote territory. After the trip, transfer you back to hotel.
Inclusions: Transport by private Air-conditioned vehicle , Speaking basic English driver, Hotel pick up and drop-off, Bottled water
Exclusions: Tour guide, Meals, Great Wall entrance fee and shuttle bus ride., Cable car fee
Prompt and clear communication by e-mail. We booked and payed in advance and unfortunately our flight was delayed by 24 hours and the time in Beijing was shorter than planned. The guide and driver adapted and met us the day after, they also took us to another part of the wall to make the tour faster. Not only did that save our tour, we were also the only ones at that part of the wall. The guide brought fruit and jackets for us and were very considerate in general. This was in December 2018, still a found memory.

Jingshanling is the most beautiful section of the Great Wall and a paradise for photographers, it was built around 1567-1586AD, served as the first protection of Beijing City, located about 130 kilometers beyond the Mutianyu Great Wall. Here 67 watchtowers dominate 20 kilometers of the Great Wall, making it a perfect location for viewing Great Wall sunsets, and sunrises too.

This tour was amazing! I wish I could remember my driver's name, because he was wonderful. It was absolutely freezing outside,.and thankfully our driver had jackets for us. Additionally, he gave up bananas and oranges to snack on, as well as bottled water. He walked us through so that we knew exactly where to go, and even had us pose as a group and took pictures for us! By request, we were picked up at our hotel, and then dropped off at the airport to make our flight. With limited time, we were able to see the Great Wall of China, grab some food, and catch our flight. I highly recommend this tour!

Aside from the fact that the Mutianyu Great Wall was incredibly spectacular (we visited in winter which made it beautifully snow-covered, unpopulated and stunning) this review is predominantly for our driver Tony who was just awesome. We were having a lot of trouble in China with our NZ money cards (of all types) and as luck would have it, we ended up at Mutianyu with little cash, and every ATM either closed down or not able to accept our cards. Tony really saved us by going the extra mile to help us sort this situation. We were well aware that this was right outside of his job description but as a family with two kids very eager to do the wall, this meant the world to us. After our day at the wall, Tony then took us back to Beijing with tips and tricks, local information, stories to quench our insatiable interest in local Beijing and things we needed to know to help us for the rest of our stay. Tony, you are an excellent tour driver, a lovely man and we will be recommending you to anybody needing a driver while in Beijing.

This review covers multiple interactions I have had with James over the past few years. I have been on multi-day trips with larger groups, single-day adventures with my family and friends, camping trips that included a lot of hiking with teenage boys, and have even put together my own hiking itinerary with input from James. The experience and scenery in each case has been a real treat and memories my family and I will never forget. Every positive comment I have heard and seen about James is true. We have had great memories and have spent a lot of time talking about and sharing them all. I have recommended Trekclub Tours and will continue to do so to all my friends and contacts who are looking for more adventure that take you off the beaten path.

We had an outstanding hiking tour with our guide David Liu from China Adventure Travel. David and his driver picked us up from our hotel in Beijing and drove us to the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall, a little over 2 hours drive including a bathroom stop. The overall hike was about 4 miles including climbing the stairs/trail to get up to the Great Wall and the walk down. We had a beautiful sunny day in May and David really made the experience fun and comfortable. He speaks English well, and is also a good photographer, as we stopped many times so that he could take our photo during the hike. David provided a lot of very interesting information about the Great Wall and China in general. He is a native of Beijing and has been a tour guide for over 10 years so he knows what he is talking about. We spent about 3 hours total hiking the 4 miles, so it was a very relaxed pace with several stops for photos, rest, water, or snacks along the way. At the end, we went to a local farmer's guest house where they prepared us a great meal with local Beijing food. It was honestly one of the best meals we have had during our 2 week China vacation. The Great Wall of China is something that I have always wanted to see and I was not disappointed. Definitely the highlight of our trip. Thank you to David from China Adventure Travel for making it such a wonderful, memorable experience!

They put together a special itinerary for me based on my interest in Zheng He maritime history as well as the transitions between the first and third Ming emperors. Fred is seriously knowledgeable as well as a polyglot - he catches various languages and cultures very easily. Overall one of the best tour teams I have come across.
