Most Argentinean wine is produced in the mountainous Cuyo region, and visiting oenophiles rave about their experiences here. Whether you take a packaged tour of vineyards or explore on your own (some TripAdvisor travelers recommend renting a bike!), you’re sure to come home with amazing memories… and probably a new favorite Malbec.

Uncorking Argentina put together an incredible itinerary for me and my husband when we visited Mendoza on our honeymoon. They followed our requests/budget when planning the activities that had us eating and drinking our way through the region! We absolutely loved our guide/driver Gustavo who was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and who even purchased mate for us as a parting gift! We loved the range of wineries that we were able to visit - from small, boutique wineries to larger scale operations, we really were able to get a feel for the diversity of the region. It took so much of the stress out of trip planning to have Uncorking Argentina make the reservations and schedule everything for us. It was truly the highlight of our visit to South America and we hope to return to Mendoza in the future.

We had an amazing free walking tour today in Madrid with a guy called Gibson. He was super friendly, funny, and fluent in Spanish and English. We heard all about the city's history, the people who lived here, and the Spanish culture. In addition he gave us some tips for good restaurants/bars and other sightseeings. I would highly recommend a tour with Gibson to everyone who wants to laugh about Spanish royals anecdotes, be amazed by his comprehensive historical knowledge, and fell in love with this beautiful city. Enjoy.

We enjoyed this tour very much. The organisation for pickup and drop off was good and we got to see a bit of Mendoza city. The first winery was lovely and the guide very informative. Wine was tasty too. They harvest at night and the day after we were there (March 4) they hold a night harvest for the people. Would have been great to be there!! The second winery was a family one and the philosophy of love and family was very interesting - and the wine was good!! The olive oil place,Laur, was interesting too and the oils and balsamic were delicious. And then the sweet wine!! This was another great winery with lots of passion put into the wine. They also sold Malbec icecream which was delicious. We had four excellent tours and the guide on the bus was informative and kept us on time - started at 2 finished at 745pm. I would definitely recommend this tour if you have limited time to see Mendoza wine region.

We did two visits with WineX: full day Uco Valley (SuperUco and Piedra Negra) and a half day Catena Zapata, the Pyramids. Both trips were simply excellent, we loved ! The full day was a miracle as we just found WineX the night before we wanted to go to Uco (another agency had let us down). Andres, the friendly owner, managed to organised us this wonderful Uco tour from the evening to the next morning with an extraordinary driver/guide Jose Luis, who explained us a lot along the drive and was very friendly, we appreciated that a lot! The visits itself were both excellent, in Uco the two bodegas were different with their own style, great storytelling at SuperUco, amazing lunch at Piedra Negra, and well the half day at Catena was just absolutely perfect - also thanks to Mariana the guide from Catena! So: We very much recommend WineX because all tours complied with what we wanted/expected and what we agreed with Andres. That is very important for us as we spent money looking for high quality and we found this here. Andres thanks so much for the wonderful experiences!

I discovered Wine Not in a New York Times 36 Hours in Mendoza article and am so glad I sought it out. My husband and I had a wonderful 5 "step" tasting with Matias on our second night in Mendoza. As other reviewers have stated he is a wealth of knowledge on Wine and the region. (Which makes sense as he is a sommelier). He is extremely hospitable and speaks perfect English which is an added bonus. I wish we would have visited on our first night but he was closed. I think I heard him mention that he takes reservations so if you are short on time in the area I would contact him a few days in advance.

Ride the Route 7 mountain range, taking into account the majestic Andes Mountains. The first stop is at Potrerillos del Río Mendoza, which follows the road during the excursion. We continue traveling through a tunnel area and then into the Uspallata Valley, which separates the pre and the front ridge. Then we started up the high mountain road. We will reach Los Penitentes. We continue to travel the international route in a landscape framed by the Andean massif and bordering the old railway line. We arrive at Puente del Inca, a natural bridge with hot springs and a rich history. Then the mountains open to show Aconcagua, stop at the Mirador. Finally we come to the city of Las Cuevas and the weather permitting, we go to Christ the Redeemer. Lunch at the restaurant or option to make our own barbecue with chef. Return to the city of Mendoza. Potrerillos Dam Uspallata Puente del Inca Aconcagua Lookout
