Find out what Chinese restaurants to try in Bangor. The city of Bangor is perhaps most well known as the setting for many of Stephen King's stories, a reputation that has led to the nickname Transylmainia. There is more to Bangor than just tales of horror, however. There is a thriving arts scene, with museums, galleries, theaters, a symphony orchestra and a popular sidewalk art festival every summer. The area around Bangor includes the coastal Acadia National Park and the wooded Baxter State Park, providing plenty of outdoor adventure.

We walked over here from the Residence Inn as we had a taste for Chinese. I ordered chicken fried rice. It contained mixed dark and white chicken pieces, crumbled egg pieces (might not have been real egg as it was awfully dark yellow, onion and bean sprouts. That is all. I asked about chili oil and they brought me some.My husband got beef broccoli and he said the beef was of a very questionable quality but he liked the sauce. It came with about a 6 oz serving of white rice. Basically any meat here is less than quality. The menu said there were no refills on soft drinks so my husband opted for tea that did not indicate such. He asked for a "refill" and his glass of tea was filled. No mention that even tea could not be refilled. The cost for two glasses of tea was $3.40. Are you kidding me??? Also, I was charged $1 for the chili oil. I have never been charged for a condiment in a Chinese restaurant before and there was no mention that there would be a charge this time. Needless to say I took the $1.70 we were charged for the tea refill and the $1 charge for the chili oil straight out of the tip. Thankfully I don't live here so I won't have to worry about not returning!!

Whenever we have a craving for Chinese food this is our take out destination. It is no frills. You can see how they cook as the kitchen is in full view of the pick up counter. It is clean, the food is fresh, the owners are very nice. There are only here or four tables so dining in is a rarity. Highly recommended take out location.

I really like the food here. Plus it's right down the street from my house. The staff is always friendly and the food cooked fresh to order. This is the closest I've gotten to good Chinese food here in Bangor. Definitely my go to spot.

It was our first visit on New Year's Eve and it was very busy. I thought because of that the food would be great. We got our food and it was not great. The sesame chicken was over breaded, more breading then chicken. The shrimp low mien was completely flavorless. I was very disappointed. They were very nice . The young gentleman that took our order was very nice and efficient. Unfortunately we will not go back for quite some time. They will either improve or not.

Our family visited the Oriental Jade Restaurant on a trip traveling to St. John, NB Canada. We all found our meals excellently prepared and very tasty. The decor is authentic Chinese and classy with friendly service, efficient and expedient. I had scallops (oriental style) with rice, snow peas, and water chestnuts, etc. My son thought his lobster, (oriental style) was scrumptious. The atmosphere is such you would think you were in Hong Kong. Highly recommend The Oriental Jade for not only a superb dinner but also a very authentic experience. You won't be disappointed, Bon Appetite

My favorite dish has been changed- the teriyaki tofu used to be bite-sized pieces of marinated tofu in a nice teriyaki sauce. This time the tofu was in 2x3 chunks, not marinated and very little sauce. The vegetables underneath had no teriyaki sauce at all. Before, the bento box included fruit, but not today. When I asked for extra sauce it took too long to arrive. My waiter was slow to take my order and didnât return after food was served until halfway through the meal.

While staying in Bangor our hotel desk clerk told us about this restaurant. We were surprised by the variety of the dishes, all hot and fresh. And the ones we tried were delicious. I love Chinese food and this one is on my list to go to during my next visit. The staff was really friendly and cleaned the table of our empty plates rapidly. The price was not too bad either $12.99 for the buffet

A simple Chinese family restaurant. Will always do our best to provide full and complete service
This is the best restaurant in Bangor. Itâs not the fanciest, but I donât care. The atmosphere is very family and the service was excellent. I got crispy red curry duck and the partner got home style bean curd. Anything youâre used to in a Chinese restaurant, this is much better. This is the one restaurant in Bangor that will never disappoint you. I would give it six stars if I could.
