Very nice servants on a warm tuesday evening in the Biergarten of Pfungstädter Brewery. All produced beers are on the menu as well as German Specialties but als Burgers and Flammkuchen. We had a Jalapeno Burger with hash browns, Vegetables Pan, Chicken Nuggets, a side salad. Everything was delecious and not too fat, the stuff and the kitchen were really fast. And at the end of our stay our Girl got a double chocolate ice for free....reasonable Prices, good Quality and nice People....nothing to complain about!!

Iâve stopped here several times during my travels to Darmstadt, including twice for dinner my last visit late May. I love the setting, both the outdoor communal seating outside on the marketplace or the indoor seating within the historic old building. The food, while fairly basic, is really good in my opinion. And I love the beers. The service is always amazing efficient. If I lived close to this place I would be in real trouble. But I would like to live closer...and be able to stop by more often.

»das kru« â the place to be for a relaxing break Our fine food, fine wine and the relaxed ambience of our restaurant go hand in hand to create a truly unique dining experience. Whether joining us for a leisurely lunch or looking for somewhere special in t
Have been here twice for dinner. Both times the food was unique, well presented, nice portions (not too big nor small), well paired. My last visit there was a menu for the day for a reasonable price. It included an appetizer, a salad, main entree (I had chicken with vegetables), a souffle dessert, and wine. The restaurant is cozy by friendly atmosphere. The owner met us at the door and was most hospitable. Nice place for dinner!

A typical Gasthaus: solid wooden tables and benches; beer coasters, eternally unchanging German atmosphere of "Bierstube" (this is a positive statement!). Quick service; dishes are inexpensive, tasty, generous. And the beer is good, too!I thought Flammeküche was specific to Elsass, but you get it here, too; paperthin down, good toppings.

We visited this authentic Greek restaurant, or to use its proper description, a 'Restaurant Cafe Pizzeria' owned and run by Niko, on a cold, miserable May evening. Happily, the welcome was quite the opposite and we were shown to our table straight away.Drinks ordered, we turned our attention to the surprisingly extensive and reasonably priced menu which can be found amongst the restaurant's web pages at - http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=en&prev=/search?q=makedonia+restaurant,+griesheim,&client=firefox-a&hs=mO6&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&rurl=translate.google.co.uk&sl=de&u=http://makedonia.at/cms/pages/de/startseite.php&usg=ALkJrhgDE3HBWcxGIyUBuE2iY79LMEL5rQMy partner and I chose one each of the 'Gyros' dishes, something that has not, so far as I know, yet managed to cross the Channel into the UK. It's an interesting combination of herbs including chilli, coriander, cumin, paprika, garlic, parsley, oregano, thyme and cinnamon used as a rub on any of a number of meats. Different and very tasty they were too!On our second visit, I went for a chicken breast cordon bleu and that too proved to be very good. At the close of both meals, we were given complimentary glass of Ouzo.Altogether, interesting and enjoyable evenings; worth a visit.

The hotel Monika is okay. It's not expensive, the rooms are clean, though a bit run down. The shower has a knee hugging Norman Bates curtain. You cannot leave the window open, because of the traffic noise. However, it was okay, it was for one night and conveniently close to my appointment the next day.The restaurant, however, is what makes it worth your while. Good food, friendly service, nice wine. There were business people, but also quite a few local people.

This was our first time and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was first rate, plentiful and affordable. I had the Rattsherren Schnitzel, which was covered with mushrooms and cheese baked over top. Amazing! My mom had the Flammkuchen, which I tasted of course, also amazing! My Dad had the Pfefferrahm Schnitzel, which I also had to taste, another winner! We also had their Paulaner Dark beer, which my Dad can't stop raving about, of course I liked it too! My parents live nearby, I come to visit them and look forward to a traditional german meal out and this one ranks up way high on my list of favourites locally.
