When, at the age of 17, Marcin Kreglicki dreamed of his first restaurant, he returned from vacation with a backpack full of cookbooks. Thatâs how our learning of the world through cooking and stories about food began. OpasÅy Tom was created in the former
This is a lovely place to dine. It serves food described as modern European. The menu is limited but the choices are excellent. My dining partners all chose duck. They loved the meat but they all left the spring onion. I had slow cooked ox tail in cabbage. It was unusual and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a cheese tart for dessert. It was also first class. We supported our meals with Polish wine. We began with a sparkling which was dry and delicious. Then we enjoyed a cabernet sauvignon. It was very much in the French style and also delicious.

Excellent, light business lunch, with very nice house bread, served in a nice venue with high ceilings.

After enough of pierogis, I've decided to try something non-Polish in town. Bistro de Paris far exceeds my expectation. Food is so delicious that this restaurant could still be a top one if located in France.I had escargot as appetizer. So delicious! Snails in France nowadays are mostly too big in size and unfortunately not that tasty, but here they are very intensive in taste. And its garlic parsley butter is the best dipping for bread- yummy...My main course is duck breast. It is so soft that it melts like butter. I made the mistake by asking the chef whether it is sous vide. Of course it's not. This is simply a classical French dish made to its best. I've had quite some duck dishes in Michelin restaurants before, and this dish here stays solidly at the top for me.I had the warm chocolate cake (lava cake) as dessert, with home-made salt caramel ice cream. Extremely delicious.Restaurant chef Jean is a very friendly to guests. His warm, authentic and unpretentious personality is well reflected in his food philosophy: high quality and uncomplicated gourmet food.

A cracking find in the heart of the old town.. Neither the 'pork chop', consisting of a lovely piece of schnitzel, nor the sausage platter (50 cm in length!), disappointed. The restaurant had a lovely, cosy atmosphere, and was very reasonably-priced. The staff were also friendly and welcoming. To be recommended!

Four of us visited the restaurant for dinner on a Sunday evening and although it was quiet, the service from our waiter Lukas was very attentive, friendly and professional . The food was extremely flavourful and we all enjoyed our appetizers and entrees. We would definitely return if visiting Warsaw again.

Was really afraid it would be a tourist trap, influenced by a recent review. Couldnât have been more wrong. Great food! Wouldnât hesitate to either come back or recommend it. My only regret is eating everything so quickly I forgot about the picture.

STOLICA... Polish restaurant reviving Warsaw atmosphere of the interwar times. Hidden behind the corner of a small, charming street in the heart of the old town.
We had some great food here...Polish food with a twist of modern. The caramelized fig was a great starter, the Zurek was delicious, Ribs in BBQ sauce and Pork loin was fantastic. Halibut was enjoyed by my stepdaughter and their desserts were fantastic. We all enjoyed our dishes. It may seem pricey but compared to other Europen countries - it was a drop in the bucket. Well worth the money.
