It was an excellent dinner. Good service. Open kitchen concept. Locals mainly, wry nice atmosphere. Birthday celebrations at quite a few tables. Entraña was fantastic! I was very close to order another one, but decided to leave space for desserts. And rightly so! Banana cake was superb, so was flan. Starters were a bit less impressive, compared to main courses, I would say leave out salmon carpaccio- it has to be eaten in northern hemisphere :), focus on local stuff instead.
First of all, thanks to trip advisor for finding this restaurant. Visitors like me need to know about places like this to totally stay away from.We were traveling from Playa Salinitas, going back to San Miguel. I, my dad and my boyfriend did not get a chance to have lunch. Therefore we stopped at this place. It is an outdoor type of bar. It has benches type seating, nothing fancy at all about the place. Typical El Salvador type of "hang out". My mother went ahead and ordered 3 plates of fried fish with rice for the three of us. There were 4 adults and 2 children. We all ordered drinks and my boyfriend ordered one beer. My mother did not ask for the menu because she figured this food could not bee that expensive. After all, this was a typical "shack type of place". Well, she was wrong. At the end of the meal, we get a bill for a total of $78.00. Needless to say my boyfriend and I were furious. We were told that the fish plates cost $18.00 each. If you have been to Central America, you know that this is very expensive. This is what you would normally pay at a "top of the line restaurant in San Salvador". We asked to see the menu. Well, of course this was not listed on the menu. We were told that "the large fish" was not listed on the menu. To give you another comparison - We went to a beach in San Miguel (El Cuco). There were 5 adults and 2 children. The men drank so much beer and there were 7 orders of fried fish plates, seafood cocktails, soup, etc. We spent $68 for all the food and a LOT of beer that evening. It was getting dark and it was not worth the hassle or our safety to continue to argue with these people. This restaurant (I would not even call it a restaurant, it is a "shack" is located right off the main highway, off the coast and it is isolated. I would rather pay and get back on the road and know that I am safe with my family in tow! Stay away from this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are a small Restaurant and Hotel that provides a relaxing and stress-free environment to enjoy a pleasant day at the beach with your loved ones. We are open for 1-day visit to use all facilities for free by only eating at our Restaurant or overnight. S
The dining area IS close to the beach but, unfortunately, the kitchen is NOT close to the restaurant/dining area. Food is OK - certainly nothing special. For El Salvador, it seems very expensive. For breakfast on my next to last day, I had the "Tropical Almanacer" which was fresh fruit with yogurt and honey. What I got was a big goblet with lots of water melon (it's in season now and very cheap), with a little mango, and about a tablespoon of yogurt. And I think it was about $7.00. The seafood entrees are OK, but I would not make a special trip to come here for a meal. It's just "OK" and the service is VERRRRRRy slow. If you order a drink it comes pretty quickly, but if you order a second it could take upwards of 15-20 minutes - even if you are the only customer. In general, service is NOT a priority at this place.
You would walk right by this little stand, with a few tables on the sandy street, but stop in for a great meal and value! As you walk past the security gate in the little village of Playa El Tunco, it is the first little stand on your left. It is operated by Juan Carlos and his wife. This place is next to Taco Guanaco. At lunch time, she's cooking up a wonderful hearty soup, a meat "stew," and an entire fish with rice and salad - all these for $2.50! Beers are 80 cents and sodas are 50 cents. For dinner, you can choose between any left over lunch items, plus a delicious meat torta (sandwich), an amazing hamburger (who would have guessed?), and a great fish sandwich. These items will set you back $2.50-$3.00.You can maybe sit at a table with their two beautiful kids. The entire family is so nice and friendly. Great food and a great value.

Absolutely no vegetarian options. Also, despite only three tables on the entire level of the restaurant being occupied and one of them smoking, we were told that we could not smoke at out table. My meat-eating friend found the food bland and over-priced as well.

Coyote is a restaurant that really cares about quality, we strive to serve fresh food, like homemade food. Our specialty are the breakfasts, paninis, pastas, burgers and pizzas, but also you can find very fresh salads, burritos and main dishes: Fish Fillet
Sometimes I feel like eating at such a westernised restaurant to be a bit of a cop-out when travelling but this was so worth it!! The pasta with broccoli and cheese was so delicious and the coyote burger is packed with yummy avocado. Do it...dooo iiit.

We had a group of 18 traveling together from the US. Betoâs was able to seat us promptly at a table with a great view of the Pacific.Serving a lunch to a large group is never easy, but Betos did a great job. Everyone in our group loved their food. In our group about 1/3 ordered a steak 1/3 ordered seafood and 1/3 ordered a pasta dish. A couple of the teenagers ordered pizza. Everyone was quite pleased with their meal. Betoâs house beer, Betoâs Oscuro, was an interesting beer. It had a sweeter taste than you would expect for a dark beer. I suggest you order it.
