If you live in Sorrento, this might be your only pub option. In fact, it was packed the night we went, so it's obviously popular, and our experience might have been unusual. Still, it was probably the worst service we'd ever received. It took a long time for the server to come to our table, but that was okay -- it was a busy night. She finally came and took our dinner order. About twenty minutes later, she came back with my partner's meal and left without saying anything. THEN... she just never came back. Not to see how we were doing. Not to ask if we wanted more drinks. Not to explain why she didn't bring my order. My partner was waiting to eat until my food came. I told him just to eat so his food didn't get cold. After about 10 or 15 minutes had passed, I went looking for the server. She was behind the bar putting away dishes. I asked about my meal. She had "forgotten" to send my meal order to the kitchen, but said it would be ready in about 10 minutes. I said no thanks, helped my partner finish his food, and we went and bought snacks from the gas station instead.Even if the server had brought us TWO meals, the service was horrible -- but what I did not understand then and don't understand now is: How do you take TWO orders, send one to the kitchen, and forget to send the second one? Even if you manage that, how do you bring ONE meal to a table with TWO people at it and not realize that maybe there should be a second meal coming? If I had made such a ridiculous mistake, I would have offered SOMETHING -- a sincere apology, free drinks, or comped the one meal I HAD remembered to deliver. But we got nothing, as though ordering two meals and only receiving one -- well, it's just one of those things. What can you expect as a customer spending your hard-earned cash at our establishment? Well... Lesson learned: We won't be back.

Recently dropped in here because (a) I was passing through Sicamous and (b) this place had a pretty good score in TripAdvisor. Unfortunately, I was regretting my decision from the moment I sat down. Some early observations: the space itself feels like a high school cafeteria; it took at least five minutes for us to spot an employee; they don't serve wine or beer (or any other alcoholic beverage); and, the menu is much like any other small town restaurant. On a positive note, our server -- once she appeared -- was very nice. And the kids liked their pizza. (But I should add that my kids always like their pizza.) As for my meal, it was meant to be a Greek salad. However, it was predominantly lettuce, the olives were out of a can, and the feta was tasteless. It would appear this is a new restaurant, so it's possible things may quickly improve and a liquor license may be on the way. But at least for the short term, I'd suggest you seek other dining options when in Sicamous.

We are so familiar with the wonderful wings at the Falkland Pub. We always find a pub with wings on a Wednesday but these were very disappointing. Our server was fine but the wings just didn't cut it.

Hyde Mountain is tucked away, where only the locals seem to know it exists. The golf course is so much fun, and the restaurant has the best views I've ever had in Canada. My family and I went for my 30th bday dinner a few nights ago; I have to say, best Pasta ever! We started with the mussels and clams appetizer...a must try. I then had the Chicken Carbonara for dinner, my family tried the salmon and seafood pasta rose dishes. We were so stuffed by the end of the night. The waitresses are quick with drinks and super friendly. I recommend this place for both adults and kids....the views over the Shuswap are breathtaking.

How often does a person get the opportunity to visit a floating pub in the middle of a huge lake? That is reason enough to visit. If you rate this pub purely on its food quality and its prices, it is surprisingly similar to other good pubs. I was expecting to be upcharged due to the fact that it's the only floating pub in the area. But no, it has normal pub prices and the food is great. Good service too. We went there on the busiest weekend of the year so we had to wait about 20 minutes to get a seat but not a big deal when you're on vacation. Parking (the boat) is a bit of a challenge, as you can guess it doesn't take many boats to fill up the available spaces on the docks. It is an open air pub and there were lots of people there who were in party mode so it was noisy, but not unbearable.

Great service, their staff were prompt and friendly. The food was straight up average. We had burgers which were fine, the fish in salad was abysmal.Considering where it is, the prices are unusually high, but they do have a captive audience with the houseboaters.

Just went to this establishment this evening since we wanted to try somewhere different for dinner and there are not a lot of alternatives in this small community of Sicamous. We ordered two dishes - one was a 2 piece cod fish and chips @ $16.00, and the other was spaghetti & meatballs @ $21.00. So I was anticipating a fairly decent version of these dishes. Well that just didn't happen - my fish and chips was 2 small chunks of fish with a thick hard coat of batter which was definitely over-fried, (the fries were ok. But my wife's $21.00 plate of spaghetti and meatballs was the real atrocity - for starters it eas only 1 golfball sized meatball, (not meatballs) and the so-called sauce was a completely bland and watery mystery stirred into the pasta. I mean how do you possibly screw up spaghetti sauce so completely? AND charge $21 bucks for it ! Save your money and drive by this place because the owner obviously has no interest in insuring his kitchen's products are worthy of what he's charging. Go anywhere else.
