We've eaten at many Subways in many locations over the years. Some good, some average and sometimes not so good. This one was average. The front end staff was friendly and quick with our lunch selections. The washrooms were filthy while the seating area was spotless.

The food at Manies is okay, nothing special. It was recommended by the motel we stayed in! The service was fine and it didn't take too long before we got our food. The portions are enormous!! We had the chicken, the lamb, spanakopita and the calamari. The Greek salad that came with it was not much, but the rest was okay. The place is basic and we found it quite expensive.
At the PetroCan gas station is Cheryl's Place, a blast from the past truck stop style burger joint. Older laminate tables, minimal decor, jean clad server, and a limited menu that centres around burgers and fries. They do have homemade desserts and other miscellaneous offerings but mostly it's burgers and fries. The people are friendly and the prices are cheap for a sit down meal. Just don't expect any frills. All you get is good small town Canadian cooking

Enjoyable stay. Excellent beds, luxurious towels! Although situated adjacent to the highway the rooms are far enough away so that there is absolutely no traffic noise. Rooms comfortable and functional even though they are not that roomy. Nice to have a microwave in the room in addition to the usual coffee making materials. The staff is outstanding; very helpful and friendly. Breakfast included in the lodging was tasty - continental with cereal, juice, beverage also.

Service was fast and attentive. Food was diner fare... good breakfasts! Coffee was good too. Great stop on your way through town on Hwy1.

Sundance Guest Ranch recommended we pick up some pizza for our drive home to Vancouver. We did, and it really was good. I liked that it wasn't greasy at all, and the vegetarian had a nice balance of lots of veg and the right amount of cheese.

But they turn out decent Greek food. Cook is Greek and presentation is good.Saganaki was a little overcooked, pita breads need to be heated with oil on a griddle if theyâre not fresh. Not hard from an over or broiler.Ribs were very tasty as was the Greek salad with them.Burgers and fries looked ok on the next table.

We were staying in a local motel, and fortunately this restaurant was in walking distance and open. The Korean Chef provides excellent food, a pleasure to eat here. As we were leaving we decided to buy a box of sushi to compliment our picnic lunch the following day....we were not disappointed.

Where Home-grown Meets Delicious. Fresh from Our farm to your table. Shop our store and enjoy delicious soups and sandwiches in our cafe. Great play area for the kids and lots of RV parking. Home-made pies and famous potato bread. We are open seasonally f
I have been visiting Horstings for about 30 years however it has been at least 13 years since I have stopped there. Still great sandwiches. The pies appeared smaller although I did not purchase a pie so cannot comment on the taste. The setting lovely and the fruit and veg were very good.
