Wisbech (/ˈwɪzbiːtʃ/ WIZ-beech) is a market town, inland port and civil parish in the Fens of Cambridgeshire, England. It had a population of 31,573 in 2011. The town lies in the far north-east of the county, bordering Norfolk and only 5 miles (8 km) south of Lincolnshire. The tidal River Nene running through the town centre is spanned by two bridges. In 2011, Wisbech was the second largest town in Cambridgeshire, after Cambridge. Before the Local Government Act 1972 came into force in 1974 Wisbech was a municipal borough.

Not currently open for many hours it seems, but well worth a visit. Very friendly volunteer staff in a quaint and apparently ancient, large green painted shed. Sit inside or outside under cover in a part of the quiet castle garden. There's lovely homemade cakes and a choice of freshly brewed coffee (with free top-ups! when it's quiet), tea and various cold drinks, all very reasonably priced and great quality. A little gem in the centre of town. Check online for the opening hours. There not a lot of parking right outside but there are free carparks nearby.

Nothing fancy here, just good old fashioned good value meals. It is clearly popular and was very busy when I called at lunchtime on Saturday. Perhaps this explained the slow service, though the staff were very pleasant, and it was good to see them give so much attention to clearing and cleaning tables.

After our fantastic meal at the station restaurant, and working Sunday we missed out on carvery! But no! Trevor has another great venue. Hidden on a busy industrial estate was his Tuesday carvery! Oh yummy yummy! Another fantastic meal. Decent range of food on the menu from breakfast onwards! If you get the chance get in there.

ok back in Wisbech so without any ado Terrys comes to mind a very clean bright place to have a Excellent meal nice set out on the plate very nice staff you can if you like change on what you see on the menu that you dont likewe find that they are very obligine with that sort of thing but it up to you to speek out to them before it put in front of you it a place we never get fed up going toand we will be back soon

The front windows tables look over the River Nene and the rear look out over Somers Road.The staff are friendly and helpful. Now open Monday to Friday. The toilets are down a dark corridor and the lights are on a sensor which doesn't operate until the steps are reached, care needed.

After a bad start to the day we visited this little gem! Weâve often pasted and itâs packed and we was lucky enough to get a table today! From the very friendly staff to hot tasty food served in a welcoming venue with some great old pictures of Wisbech. This venue will become a firm favourite

Went in a couple of weeks ago for a cake, coffee and sandwich on a sunday afternoon.Personality of the owners makes the place what it is! Wonderful man ensuring we had a lovely seat under the apple tree in the orchard, cake was wonderful, and sandwiches delicious.Would definitely go back another day to enjoy the sunshine, friendly dogs that walk around, and a lovely coffee and cake!
