After our last experience decided to give third place another try. Same experience as last year. Our server was curt and acted like we were unwelcome. Ordered got tea and was brought a cup of hot water and a cup tea bags in it. I made my selection and about 5 minutes later the server can and took he cup with the tea bags away. I guess you get one tea bag only at this restaurant. The food was good, but the friend who joined me said her cubed potatoes that came with her omelet had so much black pepper that she couldn't eat them. No compensation on that. Then our server brought the checks and about two minutes later he came back and said "Is this done?". Felt rushed and decided this was yet another mistake. Won't go back . Two bad experiences with unfriendly service is enough. Food was just okay and pricey. Really too bad as this used to be a really nice place to go with friends.Thank you for taking the time to bring your experience to our attention. Low keyed consistent food, great prices and good parking. But they are first hard to find on the first floor of an office building and then they seem to be closed everytime we go. Good sandwiches salads and cookies, lovely service when they are open.Hello - I am so happy you like it at the Hilltop Cafe. We do indeed have limited hours because of our 'hard to find' location in the office buidling. However, as more folks have found us - we are looking into opening more hours (with permission from our landlord)! Thank you for your comment - I hope to see you soon - let me know when you come in; my name is Colleen. Thank you, again!

We love the biscuits and gravy here, but other things are nice too. I tried something different this time and I was very happy. Eggs, avocados and gluten fee English muffin...it was delicious. And my eggs were cooked perfect, which can be tricky sometimes. The waitress was very nice and helpful.

Again always crowded, in a shopping mall. Okay coffee and bread. Biscuits better, Omelets good, they have chicken sausage and turkey bacon. Whole grain pancakes and buttermilk pancakes and waffles. Okay potatoes. Only open until 3pm so lunch is their last meal. Good sandwiches and salads. Okay eggs Benedict with avocado, Canadian bacon or spinach. Breakfast tacos - Yeah! Not my favorite biscuits, not cozy, big open noisy room.

We love this place for our special lunch escapes. The service is usually always good, the food is really good. Can't go wrong with their menu. My favorite is their seasonal berry salad and their amazing chicken caesar. Have to go back to get our fix for this caesar as it is that good. It's a little odd at first going in as you order, pay, get your check, then get a table. The servers then come and collect your check, confirm your order and then bring it when it's ready. Unique, but serves a purpose? Seems like it could expedite service, but unsure really. :) It's a nice hidden find and we will always go back.

Note: picture is of next door Scandinavian structure... the restaurant is very modern.A very busy place, with limited parking.A long wait... 30 to 40 minutes, followed by slow service. The food, however, is quite good, with a nice selection to choose from.Just don't be in a rush..

Stopped here for breakfast on a girls trip to Portland. It was about 9:30 am on a weekday.Extremely cute place, complete with a coffee bar, mimosas, blood maryâs, and the list goes on. Had several tables opened right away, but not cleared. We were the only ones waiting and it took about 5-10 minutes to get seated.Once seated it took a good 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee. Once we received our coffee, our waitress took our order and we began to get regular attention and coffee refills.Food looked amazing coming out of the kitchen. Iâm watching carbs. My eggs scramble with veggies and fruit was fresh and hearty. One of the women I was with ordered an omelet and she said it arrived cold. Didnât want to say anything as she didnât know how long it would take to remedy the problem. The other woman with us had chicken and waffles and it looked amazing.I think everyone - these days - are short of help. I sat and counted and the place probably seats close to 50 or 60 and I think I saw a total of four wait staff. By the time we left, the lunch rush was coming in and all the tables were full. Bottom line - food was good, but a bit of a wait.

A locally owned French bistro and bakery specializing in hearty breakfast and lunches, finer bistro dinners, and a full-bar with draft beer. Our bakery counter is stocked with grab-and-go French bread, pastries, and delicious cakes.
Met two friends here Monday morning for breakfast. Great ambiance, location, and interior. Menu is wonderfully varied and has many breakfast selections beyond the standard eggs, omelettes, etc. Also Seasonal Specials menu. Food was great. I ordered the Wild Northwest Salmon Hash. Delicious but the hash browns were overly salty. Our server was perfunctory and a bit sharp, but she took good care of us.
