Reviews on Cafe food in Sousse, Sousse Governorate, Tunisia. Sitting where the Phoenician colony of Hadrumetum once stood nearly 3,000 years ago, the modern-day Sousse is a resort destination, especially popular with Europeans. Sometimes called "the Pearl of the Sahel" (referring to the central section of Tunisia's eastern shoreline), Sousse is prized for its excellent beaches. Arab-Islamic since the 7th century AD, the city has many fascinating attractions, like the 9th-century Great Mosque, and its medina is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Sousse Food Guide: 10 Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Sousse
Stopped in here as part of my Medina mini tour. Wandering around the medina/souk and almost walked past. I did a double take and was glad I did. A truly charming little place tucked away in the medina. Not difficult to find either - worth finding too. Asking any of the locals and they will point you in the right direction for a truly great coffee and a welcome seat in a charming setting. Go explore and find this true hidden gem.

Our Daughter is married to a Tunisian so we visit Sousse often to see family. We always meet friends at La Veranda as its right on the main drag so a great place to people watch. They do a range of Pizzas, omlettes,Begals, Ice creams Gooey cakes and an endless list of teas coffees and chocolate drinks. Its the cheapest place I have ever been to when compared to the UK and although the Waiters tend to favour the locals you do get served eventually.

I have to admit decoration is great the roof terrace has a nice view over the Medina however that's it ... Poor service dirty not to say rude Price pretty expensive compare to other when they can't deliver would be great to clean in front of the place as rubbish bins and domestic waist are just there fragrancing the place :-( nice to visit but not to eat nor drink

This is a lovely place for a drink, snack or meal, especially if you are a first time visitor to Sousse. This place is easy to find, the staff are excellent and it offers good value if you are perhaps less confident about tackling more "local" cafes. It is spotlessly clean, the food and drinks are good, expecially the brunch, obviously popular as lots or local people can be seen enjoying it too. Check out the signs for the loos - hilarious! :)

Was having a nightmare of a time staying at Marhaba Salem hotel and the food was awful. We ate here almost every morning for breakfast and dinner. The servers were outstanding and so welcoming. They would remember us and know our order already! â2 espresso, Nutella pancakesâ! If we ever came back to Tunisia itâs the first place Iâd go back to visit!

We enjoyed delicious home cooked food served by the friendly couple who run this place. Lamb with couscous was really tasty, salad Mechouia was spicy and also delicious. They are working on the rooftop terrace; when itâs finished itâll be a lovely place to sit and enjoy a cool drink. Very handy after a visit to the Sousse Archaeological Museum.
