Things to do in Mudgee
On a recent trip from the UK to Mudgee I had occasion to visit Muffin Break in the March with a friend and ordered takeaway coffee & a muffin, the service was quick, polite & the coffee good. So when I returned in April a couple of weeks later with my husband I was surprised to see âunder new managementâ signs up in the window. This didnât deter us from ordering 2 skinny lattes, a muffin and my husband who at this point was still looking at the display counter undecided was approached by what I can only assume as the new owner / manager. She highly recommended the 3 cheese & spinach pasty advising that they had just come out of the oven fresh. Deal breaker - 1 happy husband decided on a fresh out of the oven pasty. Now I donât leave poor reviews lightly but...We waited 10mins for our coffees, and a further 10mins after that we still hadnât received the fresh out of the oven pasty - a total 25mins after paying for our goods, coffees nearly finished and I had to go to the counter & enquire where the pasty was. I was rudely informed by the young assistant that she was waiting to warm it up .... I thought how strange weâd been told it was fresh out of the oven!! Nevertheless I returned to our table and waited, a further 5 mins passed before a deflated soggy looking pasty was slid across the table towards my husband ... a stale pasty heated in the microwave!!!! Disgusting!! Everyone knows you canât heat pastry in a microwave .... quite frankly I was sick of waiting around at this point & perhaps if the staff hadnât been so absorbed with each other catching up to n last nights events, and paid even a little more attention they would have been more approachable on the day ... all I can say is in a 3 week stay in NSW this by far was the worse place to grab a coffee & snack - avoid this cafe at all costs until it sorts itself and customer service out!!
A family run gourmet delicatessen located in beautiful Mudgee. Pop in for a freshly made deli sandwich, toastie, homemade soup or why not order one of our amazing platters to take home. Grab a coffee while you look around at our vast range of local, Austr
Located in a small arcade is dad's deli.A combination of small coffee shop with a small cheese & small good section.A few loaves of crusty bread & local condiments. We were there as it is supposed to to have the best cheese selection in town.David H Iâm not sure what you were expecting from a small country deli but thanks (???) for supporting a family run business in a drought stricken community!
Really enjoyed our morning tea at this wonderful little place. Amazing service, very friendly staff. They had lots of gluten free choices and the tea selection was impressive and tasted as good as it looked. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in either sit down or on the go.

Casual, family friendly cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of room for kids to roam in our kids play areas. Tasty, wholesome food made from scratch, by our team of chef's and cooks. Open from 10am every weekend at Burrundulla Winery & Vineyard.
Popped in on way home to Sydney. On a coolish winters morning it was still enjoyable.Blankets helped keep out the chill.Good coffee and scones.Friendly and quick service. Thanks for the review. We have recently renovated and enclosed a large area thatâs lovely and warm. Hopefully we will see you again next time youâre out this way.

I recently visited for a wine tasting and lunch as a part of a wine tour for my Hen's. Will definitely be back!Hi Meredith,We loved having you visit, all the Lady's in your group where delightful...We look forward too seeing you all again...Kind Regards,Kellie

I can only review based on our experience which was not good: perhaps they were just having a bad day.The place appeared to be a pleasant, inviting cafe with both indoor and sidewalk seating. Our coffee orders were quickly taken but even though they did not appear to be overly busy, some 20-30 minutes later there were no signs of even starting our order. We cancelled and left for another place up the street where our order was seen to in just a few short minutes.

Such a great little spot with superb food, location and staff. What a great experience! I am the fussiest coffee customer you could ever come by and always swing by for my cuppa which is always different & a little unusual! The service is superb, relaxed but always professional and on the ball. Hats off to all the staff, especially the young man called Mitchell who is always pleasant, friendly and makes a great coffee! Thank you team. I would highly recommend this lovely cafe with such a nice vibe.

This is a small café that maximises friendliness, excellent service and a high end menu at very affordable prices.A variety of seating areas mean you can enjoy sun in the historic courtyard, more privacy out the back, the buzz of inside or the cosiness of the gallery.Nothing is too much trouble and the country hospitality is 10/10. Ever changing specials compliment the local favourite staples, and it is a treat to have such a wonderful café in the town.
