If you fancy a break from browsing the store The Place to Eat Restaurant, situated within the Ipswich store, provides the perfect pit-stop. Quality and taste is everything to us from the warm welcome you receive from our friendly waitress staff to the fre
We were given a voucher for 2 for Afternoon Tea as a Christmas present and visited today. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, tables cleared promptly and when the waitress arrived and I showed the voucher she immediately advised us what was available. The sandwiches were freshly prepared and were excellent as was the selection of mini cake portions, at least 4 plus a scone with jam and cream - and plenty of that as well. The staff were very pleasant, and possibly because the restaurant was not busy were friendly and had time to chat and advising that all the cakes were made on the premises.Hi David,Thank you for visiting our Ipswich restaurant. I am pleased to hear you were so happy with your visit & the food provided, as well as the service from the staff. I hope you will consider visiting us again in the future!Kind regards.

Very reasonably priced despite the food being cordon bleu standard in my opinion. Beautiful colours, homely environment, delicious smells, glorious people, just so tip top. Everything a cafe should be. Why do we have so many chain cafes and only one of these :) Perfect for any time of day- coffee and cake time, treat breakfasts or proper meals (and I mean proper). The food is simply extraordinary and super healthy. Beautifully presented- each dish decorated even better than the meals I used to serve at Grosveners hotel in London. I enjoyed my most recent dish of carrot, tumeric and ginger soup: the nourishing feel of the soup after a long day and the delicate marriage of flavours was perfect. Clearly made with love. Even the colours of my meal just sang together. The orange soup in its white and royal blue bowl. Itâs the feeling of â mumâs home cooked foodâ When Mum has had an exceptionally good day and has decided to stop cooking with animal based ingredients. Fresh tuneric, fresh ginger latte, who knew? Simply divine. Lots of locally and ethically sourced ingredients. (In the summer my dish even came atop with wild flowers). This place is a must visit, a must see and a must taste. A feast for eyes and the taste buds. Enjoy!

We have tried to eat here before but it has always been fully booked. Today we were in luck, and not disappointed. Good choice of food and friendly staff. One chose off the specials board, lamb meatballs with tagliatelle and the other had quiche of the day with vegetables. Great food and worth the wait. Don't come here if you want fast food as the meals are cooked to order. As mentioned by others their dessert table was laden with so many tempting treats. We both chose the lemon meringue pie, it was delicious. We will try to return in the future as we really enjoyed this visit.

Visited with my family yesterday, much improved since we were last here. But how disappointing that the staff were not able to provide accurate allergy information for a coeliac amongst us. Despite several questions about the ingredients no-one seemed to be able to access a menu card or allergen chart - she was even told she couldnât eat something because it contained rice! This does not inspire confidence. Come on Cult, make sure all your staff are trained up.

We come to Ipswich every now and again and always it is a pain searching for a decent lunch venue No longer . We've found it. I was strolling along thinking of all the mediocre places I've had lunch at in Ipswich when I spied the sign offering pedestrian fare down an alley. So we continued down and perused the menu. Ah yes looks like they do something we can eat . Up the stairs. Menu seems excellent. Down stairs and order . Gentleman benind counter is helpful and we order. Food is absolutely wonderful Perfect mix and reasonably priced. Tastes great. This will be our destination for lunch . If you are a vegetarian then come here as you wont regret it. .Above all I want to say that this place is definately NOT pedestrian or average but great.Thank you so much for review. You even managed to read the menu and realise you order downstairs.10 out of 10.Look forward to seeing you again : )

We all had a cooked breakfasts which were made with quality ingredients and well presented and thankfully not in the slightest bit greasy. The food and drinks (coffee is very good) are very reasonably priced and the cafe is welcoming, attractively decorated and spotless. Would definitley return if we are in the area again. What a lovely review, many thanks.

Coffee shop/Delicatessen with lunches on the go, weekend brunches and artisan cakes with beautiful waterfront views.
Visited with family on a Saturday âpop-up tapasâ night to celebrate a very special occasion. The choice and presentation of the tapas was first class, as was the service throughout the night. Ipswich needs specialist venues and experiencing authentic tapas - made with passion - was both exhilarating and delicious. Cannot recommend highly enough.
