Dutch Creek Farm Animal Park

Reviewed By OrganicMomma - Marietta, United States

We've been to quite a few animal parks and safaris and this was by far the best one we have been to. One of the things that made this a fantastic experience was the wagon ride to feed the animals was being pulled by beautiful horses instead of a noisy tractor with fumes. Since there was little noise, no speaker or bullhorn was needed for the driver to tell us about all the animals. Another unique feature was they have baby ducks and bunnies that the children can pick up and hold with adult supervision. There is also a large walk through / petting section that was different than anything I'd been to. You can let yourself in and out of all sorts of animal areas and feed most of them. There were some very unique animals and some of the most beautiful pheasants I have ever seen. My children (ages 4 & 8) absolutely loved this section, as did my husband and I. Everything was very reasonably priced compared to all the other places we have been. It is run by an Amish family that you could tell worked very hard at keeping all the animal areas very clean. You definitely want to opt for the full price and get the wagon ride and petting area.

Great room & service. Always great food(fried chicken our favorite) Great concert @ remodeled Center, Triumphant Quartet always a blessing & love the new layout of seats. Not the best theater play we've seen there but it was still good. Try to go at least once a year.

Yoder's Shopping Center

Reviewed By MangoLove - Cebu City, Philippines

This is a small mall with a number of stores in it, the largest of which is Yoder's Department Store. There is also a large hardware store in it. The selection is great, and we come here to find hard to find items. The staff is always kind and pleasant. Yoder's is our go-to shoe store. The department store also has clothes for the entire family, and things for the house. The hardware store pretty has much has everything else. Be prepared for the Amish and their buggies. There are also rocking chairs to sit on in the hallway outside the stores (down the middle of the building) so you can pass time there while your loved one shops. The parking lot is large and is handicapped friendly (so are the stores). The whole building is clean. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Shipshewana.
