Great docent, he was a student from VT. There is a lot to see inside this house, beautifully maintained, they are currently working on restoring the gardens, but they have them well marked up and it's fascinating. Interesting visit, not too long.

I stopped by here on a rainy afternoon and took the short audio tour around the first floor of the home. It is beautifully restored and the audio guide gave some interesting insights into both the history of Blacksburg and the Black family that formerly inhabited this house. Total visit only took approximately 30-45 minutes and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Had the pleasure to see a Tech football game here and experience the entire Hokie atmosphere including jumping to Enter Sandman, rattling keys at key play, eating turkey leg and many wonderful Hokies. Clearly recommended

A farm brewery about one mile outside of town in Blacksburg, VA. The taproom is located within a barn, with sheltered and open-air seating. The brewery space is shared with several small businesses under one rood, including Glade Road Growing Farm and Tabula Rasa Farm Kitchen. We are a family-friendly and pet-friendly environment! Live music is hosted every weekend. Brewery serves tastings, pints on site and growler fills to-go. Tabula Rasa serves farm-to-table fare whenever the brewery is open with a seasonal, chalkboard menu. Food is available by cash only; Rising Silo Brewery accepts cash or credit.
Went here after a Saturday Virginia Tech football game. There was already a pretty nice crowd but we did get a table for our party of 6. My husband had the beer flight, I had the specialty beer with the rim of cinnamon and sugar. My daughter had Kombucha. All were completely satisfied with the selections. We will definitely return on a future visit.

I am so glad Virginia Tech decided to build this beautiful memorial to the the faculty and students that lost their lives on campus. It is a fitting memorial to remember these precious lives. Please visit and pay your respects so they are never forgotten.
