Transylvania is a historical region in today's central Romania. Bound on the east and south by its natural borders, the Carpathian mountain range, historical Transylvania extended westward to the Apuseni Mountains. The term sometimes encompasses not only Transylvania proper, but also the historical regions of Crișana and Maramureș, and occasionally the Romanian part of Banat.

In 1901, the wooden bridge connecting the two banks of the Timis River - just in the middle of Lugoj - has deteriorated. It was necessary to build another, so the municipality ordered more than 185 tons of iron beams and accessories at the Uzinele of Resita, brought to Lugoj with which four oxen were drawn. In August 1902, the bridge was inaugurated.
An interesting historical bridge, a must see when visiting Lugoj. This is an old bridge that is the pride of this city.

This is a great place to stop for a few photos while sightseeing and then use the stairs to get to the lower town.

A symbol of Sighisoara. To reach the Church on the Hill you must climb! ???? But after that, you'll see it wasn't for nothing. Great view of the town and... you did some sport up and down the stairs.????
