When was the last time you went out for a casual drive and ended up inside a volcano? A surreal scenario comes to life at La Soufrière, one of the most popular attractions in St. Lucia. Pack your skin with the medicinal mud of Sulfur Springs for a DIY spa treatment. Continue your eruptive adventures with a guided hike of the two volcanic plugs known as the Pitons then ascend Morne Fortune to take in the sweeping views. For an intimate beach experience, hit the private black sands of Anse Mamin.

A yachtsman's haven, this picturesque bay has been used for background shots in many Hollywood films such as Dr. Doolittle and Fire Power.
Please conserve this beautiful beach. We only spent a few minutes here with our catamaran tour, but enough to enjoy the beauty. I hope this beautiful beach is kept for many generations to come

An old sugar plantation with a knot of bike trails along the estate.
We took a day trip to Anse Mamin from our resort (Ladera) via pre-arranged water taxi. We paid the $36 for two chairs under an umbrella on the visitor side of the beach (the other side is reserved for resort guests), and enjoyed our day tremendously. The snorkling was good (and uncrowded early) and the whole atmosphere was enjoyable. The burgers served by a lovely little on-beach restaurant were SO good. All in all, it's well worth a day!

A protected strip of reef with a remarkable diversity of coral formations. A spectacular dive.
My wife really wanted to go to the mud baths at Soufriere and I went along with her idea. We both had a great time as you start out in a hot spring - then apply the mud and go back in the warm spring to wash off the mud. It's a blast. Best advice, wear an old bathing suit as the mud can stain. Also, don't be alarmed as there will be lots of tourists joining you. This isn't like going to a day spa but probably more fun.

Antillia Brewing features its finely crafted, award winning ales at their Craft Beer Garden at Pointe Seraphine.
We spent 10 days in Rodney Bay... Réduit Beach is fantastic, beautiful beach, atmosphere and positive energy. The bus stop is conveniently located by the mall and $2.00US will take you pretty much where you want to go.. The shopping, the restaurants and the gros islet street fantastic

One of the best beaches on the island for intermediate and advanced windsurfers.
My favorite St Lucia beach! It is windy and rough, secluded and feels a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of Reduit. I completely missed the kitesurfers, but I swam for hours. The north side is shallow and has lots of seaweed, the south side is deeper. The beach is sandy and nice, but some casual beachgoers may be thrown off by the seaweed that washes ashore. The surrounding rocks block the rougher off shore waves. Even if you do not kite surf, you would have a lot of fun flying a kite from the beach (and you would not be the first one either). There is a restaurant on the premises, a kite surfing school, and access from the Cotton Bay resort. The entrance to the beach is a rough path on the side of Cotton Bay that is better done by jeep (but Lucian, amazingly, would go there by car).

Simply approaching Soufrière Bay by sea is an unforgettable experience; the spires of the Pitons rise and the sun blazes on the water.
