California is a fertile, peaceful place where you’ll find a near-equal balance of vineyards and deserts, beaches and mountains, hippies and traditionalists. Catch an epic wave in Big Sur or swirl a glass in Napa Valley. Be dazzled by the Joshua Tree night sky or just star-gaze in Hollywood. Swish down the slopes of a Tahoe ski resort, or cruise across the Golden Gate Bridge with the top down and the music blasting. Above all, don’t forget to soak up some Golden State sunshine.

I love to swim outside because indoor pools keep the chlorine contained within the room and it’s just too much. This pool is clean, they do a great job at keeping the temperature even and the locker room, toilets and showers are clean. Always plenty of parking. I swim laps on my own but they also offer aqua aerobic classes too. If you sign up for email notifications they will let you know when they will be closed due to an event, repairs, etc. you can even save money if you purchase a multiple use pass. Best local pool ever.

Two scenic islands in San Diego bay that offer a variety of restaurants, hotels and water sports such as scuba and fishing excursions.
Although both is these islands have hotels and restaurants, I prefer to walk Shelter Island as it's also a working yard for boaters. In addition to sweeping views of San Diego Bay you can fish from the public pier or reflect on the community of 3 Portuguese fishermen pulling out a large tuna together that are immortalized in a statue.

I've come here in all of the seasons and it is always a beautiful place to enjoy the water, the sand, the snow, and always the splendid view.

I love Paradise Cove! Apparently, there’s a lot of old school Hollywood history here. The interior is decorated with tons of photos documenting the many visitors of the cove over the years. Marilyn, the Beatles, and a tons of others have been hip to this spot. The food was amazing! We sat outside, toes in the sand and a rocks throw from the ocean. If you’re looking for a true Malibu experience, visit Paradise Cove. I’m definitely making it a part of my places to visit with each trip back to Cali and when I move back there, it will be a monthly, if not weekly trip. I love it there and you will too! Have a blast!

Certainly an interesting course to play, the Riverwalk features four lakes with waterfalls and trolley tracks (with a bright red trolley chugging through now and again).
