Syvota (Greek: Σύβοτα, pronounced [ˈsivota], before 1940: Μούρτος Mourtos pronounced [ˈmurtos]) is a village and a former municipality in Thesprotia, Epirus, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Igoumenitsa, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 72.439 km. The population in 2011 was 875 for the village, and 2,640 for the municipal unit. The seat of the municipality was in Plataria.

Excellent service, great quality. Every one asked where to find the best food in town recomend it. Excellent "Tirokafteri". ..(Smashed cheese with chili peper).Great porsion of salad. Fresh meat from owned butchery shop.Definitely recomended.

This a well run restaurant. Specialising in barbecue type meat. We had a nice dish of slow cooked lamb with potatoes . Beautiful views down the coast and across to Corfu. Very Greek with a mostly local clientele. Typically Greek toilets let it down. A great village to visit in the evening.

The only one that offers grills in Plataria village. We visited on Monday and it was full of customers. They treated us well with traditional Greek tastes.

Very nice atmosphere and beautiful restaurant with excellent food.Stayed for a week and tryed many restaurants but Avli is the best.Thats why we 've been there 3 times.Good prices and great service.If we go back to Perdika..we know exactly where we will go to eat.

Having read the reviews whilst staying to Sivota, we made a booking for an 8pm table wanting have a great fish dinner, having had meat the last 3 nights.We ordered the Sea Bream which we was told was off, we then went for the Octopus, also off.Then the man said i should have said i wanted fish when i booked!!! Really.They advised all we have is the lamb on the Rotisserie, so not wanting to rude, we went for that. Whilst we was trying to find the meat on a large plate of a lamb, a dog the size of a bear decides to join us a is allowed to sit there ( i know they love their dogs and cats but come on) for the duration so we could not wait to get away quick enough.We don't and paid the bill, the lady then took the plate of fatty bones and put them on the floor next to our table for the dog to devour, no wonder the dog wouldn't go, he knew he was getting our meal come what may. And he enjoyed them more than we did. There are plenty of places to eat in Perdika, the Fork and Knife for one, luckily we was in Sivota, we was there for 2 weeks and we have good meals every night except this one. AVOID. Can only comment on the pork Giros. For me a good giros comes from layers of pork put together one on top of the other to give the giros shape and then well cooked. The consistency of this giros was pre-formed pork which was shaved off wafer thin and with no taste.Would not recommend for Giros - Try Spiro VagelisThank you dear friend for your advice on the construction of the Greek giros. So... we failed ......From tomorrow we will close the shop and we all go together to eat giro in Spiros Vangelis.

We ate out in Syvota every evening for the week we were there and this place won our favourite meal. The mixed grill was delicious- really tender and juicy with that chargrilled flavour. The carbonara was the best Iâve tried and the salad was very generous. However, the best thing was they serve a range of Corfu craft beers, which was a welcome change from the regular lager for a real ale fan like myself.

It seem a nonsense, but eating a good and fresh fish in Greek islands is not easy at all, especially at a reasonable price. I had to arrive to the very last day of my vacation to find the perfect one, matching quality to taste, freshness to good and pleasable service. I come twice in two days, and both times very happy; The only negative point is that it is in a parking area, but...fine, acceptable anyhow. We had octopus, squids, anchovies, pasta (for the kid, which I have tasted too), mussles and vegetalbes. All very good, with interesting portions too. Also side orders very tasty and not usual. Great.
