We had seen the spit roast in the window and heard about the Patagonian lamb but this was all a front for a very expensive tourist trap. Stay away! The food was very, very ordinary. The lamb was unappetising and served as great chunks of meat slapped on the plate. It was only warm in parts and other bits just about cold. It certainly didn't come from the spit roast we saw. The meal came with fries which had been cooked in stale oil and were not good. The place was pretty empty and the staff more engaged with each other than paying attention to the customers. I wish we hadn't eaten there. It was very expensive for the quality, so my advice is to walk on and find some where else.

We don't speak Spanish and had a little trouble deciphering the menu but managed to order a very nice meal. We shared a delicious steak with fries and salad.. One serving was enough for the two of us and the steak was exceptionally tender and flavourful. The service was a little slow but friendly and helpful. The place was packed out at 10 pm with travellers and locals. Lots of families with kids. We have no complaints.

It's probably even better for dinner, but I have only had the pleasure to have lunch here so far. Twice. Both times were just excellent. The place is atmospheric and doesn't seem to have changed much in the last 100 years, all frontier-style. The service is exemplary and welcoming. You are made to feel an old friend (maybe he did remember me from the last time... 7 years earlier!) and served great, typical, local fare, all perfectly cooked. Empanadas, blood sausage, sweetbread, beef. All good. House wine was grand and the full wine list promising for a dinner occasion. I will go out of my way to eat here again.

A typically Argentine Restaurant... where you may taste the beast meat in a place planned for enjoyment. This unique Restaurant is built of âciprésâ (a type of cypress indigenous of the Andean Patagonic area). It is a typically Patagonian place where you
There was absolutely nil fault in our meal. All 5 of us absolutely loved the food, even the vegetarian in the group. Service was great. The waiter went out of his way to make us comfortable. Shared the potato and baked Provolone starters. Then the lamb and tenderloin. Yummy

We kicked off our trip to Bariloche with dinner here. They happily accommodated our group of 10. All of the food was delicious, including the bread and spreads to start. The lamb brochette and casserole were both spectacular. The parilla was amazing. I highly recommend it.

Great dinner worth repeating. Bife de ojo was tender but underdone. Sides of provolone, papas fritas, ensalata mixta and chorizo were all stand outs. Friendly service and moderately-priced. Get in early - opens at 8pm and there was a line outside by 8:30pm.

Although in high demand the restaurant is well organized and there is attention to detail. The service is efficient as d although a bit pricey, like almost everything in Patagonia, the quality of the food is simply remarkable. Try to visit the original site on Bustillo.

This place came as a recommendation, and after coming from Buenos Aires and eating at very famous steak restaurants I admit I was not expecting much. Well, was I proved wrong.... this was easy a million times better than the rest and I loved them too so that is saying something?!We had the rib eye and the sirloin, both Medium and I cannot recommend enough... my sirloin was a half portion which was massive still. It was the tastiest steak, my husband asked to go behind the scenes to watch how they do it - it was fantastic. We actually ended up going back the next night - we shard a T-Bone which wasn't on the menu. Sides were great too. Hands down the best steak we have ever had at a restaurant.
