Reviews on Barbecue food in Amman, Amman Governorate, Jordan. Amman's layered history is reflected in its diverse people and its varied architecture. Home to numerous churches and mosques, the city is home to a multidenominational and multicultural population. Even within the midst of the ultra-modern commercial center of the city there is evidence of its ancient roots, with colorful ancient souks, Roman ruins, cultural museums and monuments painting a picture of the history of the region.

After spending 5 days in Jordan, we were getting tired of the typical Jordanian food. I did a search on Trip Advisor to see what was available close enough to the hotel and the Pit-House popped up. After eating there, I am glad we found it.Pit-House is a small restaurant with 5 or 6 high top tables. The kitchen is open and facing the dining area, so you can see every stage of preparing your meal. You can see them smoking the meat (I forgot to ask what wood they were using). I had the brisket sandwich and my wife had the flat iron steak. The steak was cooked just right and the smoking wasn't overwhelming in the taste. The brisket was smokier, of course, which went well with the barbecue sauce. The brisket was very tender and similar to what you would find in a good barbecue shack in Texas. The prices at Pit-House were reasonable, especially for Amman. I'd describe the small dining area as modern casual. The restaurant was spotless and all furniture was maintained quite well. The service was attentive and friendly. The owner was quite welcoming to all guests. We felt comfortable from the minute walked in the door. If you are looking for a change of cuisine in Amman, I'd definitely recommend Pit-House of Barbecue. They do one thing and they do it well!

Located in downtown Amman, this is a no frills restaurant that delivers great food. The lamb kebabs are tender and succulent, and the arayes is amazing! Drinks were included and the price was a steal (around 5JDN). I would highly recommend you come here for a meal during your time in Amman!

Using only the freshest ingredients, we make some of the best burgers in town, we use no sugar in any of our recipes and use only pink Himalayan salt. Our fries are cut fresh on daily basis and are farmed indoors in greenhouses.
After a week of having delicious Jordanian food, we, nonetheless, were craving a burger. Fortunately, BIGt Burgers was located within a short walk of our hotel. BIGt is a small restaurant, with only a few tables on its front patio, but they really deliver on flavor. We had a double cheeseburger with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and mayo â juicy (so a bit messy to eat) and delicious. The fries were nice and crispy, as well.If you need a quick and flavorful burger, I would definitely recommend BIGt in Amman.

Gate 1 tour included dinner here.Location was beautiful. I was full after the appetizers! Unfortunately, everything was too salty for me. Still good though.Mint lemonade was very nice. The coffee is Turkish style strong!

Tammouz restaurant and cafe is representing the Arabic Syrian culture by serving typical food from this area, although you can also see the culture in the interior design of Tammouz. The name of the restaurant is founded in the Syrian god for fertility, w
This is low profile restaurant in Weibdeh, near Abu Mahjoub.I went there for breakfast. Indoors and outdoors seating available, we sat outside. I would say biggest added value of the place is its cosy seating area and friendliness of staff.Medium sized menu with many things to choose from. We tried the Tabbouleh, good but a bit on the small size and can use more parsley and less bulgar wheat. The fresh spicy mango dish was unique and refreshing. The local sausages were tasty and the Manakeesh were excellent. We had the white cheese one and the spinach cheese one, both baked very nicely and generously topped/stuffed.The water jugs infused with lemon and mint are a nice touch, until you realize they charge you for them!Good overall breakfast experience! Recommended!

Nothing is as authentically Lebanese as Bourj Al Hamam, a restaurant known throughout the region for fine Lebanese cuisine. Starters including Goatâs Cheese Salad, Hummus and Muhammara, and Lambâs Tongue Salad are too tempting to pass up, especially for t
One of the best Lebanese restaurant out there. They have great appetiser, salad, main dish, and nice selection of drink, including traditional Lebanese drinks, and Shisha, not so much on dessert choices though. Their lamb dishes are super, tasteful without the strong smell of lamb itself. Everything we ordered were good, but the sea bass dish was heavenly. The restaurant's atmosphere and setting is also nice and pleasant. We stayed at the InterContinental for 3 nights, didn't go to Bourj Al Haman until the last night. Should had gone there from the very first day.Dear LaTigre74Hello from Bourj Al Hamam and thank you so much for your great detailed review and the recommendation. Glad to know you enjoyed your experience with us especially the food and service. Please visit us back again anytime and enjoy our delicious food choices at Intercontinental.Best Regards,Sharif W.
