Fabulous little beach bar, open from 08:00 till late serving breakfasts and snack lunches. The rest of the time, a fabulous place to have coffee, cocktails, beer whatever. The place is always alive, more noticeable when all it's neighbours were empty.Excellent music, great staff, fabulous location, Hoyo 19 has become one of our favourite beach bars anywhere.

Iâve been coming to Almuñécar for several years and read a bit about this English bar. Firstly itâs miles out side of Almuñécar, so not really within. Walking distance. My experience as a first time visitor is not that impressed itâs geared for ex pats of course and has a clique of mainly elderly clientele and itâs a restaurant NOT a bar so I was surprised that itâs basically an extended living room with a tiny bar area and tables for âdinnerâ with reserved on them. Itâs clean, tidy and modern but drinks is limited beer is Alhambra (yawn) supposed to be an English pub???England playing Switzerland on tv with sound down whilst everyone had large Sundayâs roasts, so if you think this is a bar for football and beers itâs a no.The elderly grandmas who serve got my order wrong - a pint became a half and the wine was the cheapest there is in Europe probably as worse as furthest Polish wine. A bit of an arrogant tone to standing trying to watch football in this place where every table is reserved so nowhere to sit.My review will be poo poo by the regulars but if your a first time visitor this is a little âclubâ and beware itâs tiny, not a bar and geared for meals.Disappointing, but motivated a friend of mine to open a proper English bar in Almuñécar.

We really liked the look of this quaint place hidden in the old town so we booked a table. Unfortunately there was a bit of a misunderstanding and my husband ordered the black pudding not realising in this region it often has dried fruit which he can't eat. However when we explained this and that it wasn't listed on the menu it was taken off the bill without us even having to asked. My overall impression of the waiting staff were they were really committed to ensuring customer satisfaction and the food we could eat was absolutely delicious. We both had fish as a main and it was really tasty and I believe one of the dishes we had has won a local food award and I can believe it ! Even though there was a mix up , it was sorted no problems, they apologised with no hard feelings and I wouldn't hesitate to return for more tasty food

We had trouble finding a good tapas restaurant - but then we found Stilo Costa! Ok, a bit noisy but then again that's also why you go to this kind of restaurant. The food was great, and the prices are very affordable! I recommend this place to all looking for nice tapas

Visited bar during day, lovely setting as rocks either side of beach, pool table, air hockey table for kids and couple of swings outside. Returned on the night but setting not as good as you canât see the moon light on the sea. Food was nice, Pil pil didnât come with any bread though! Disappointing that service charge is added on and not advised anywhere, extra drinks was on the order as well but was removed when pointed out.Go during the day not the night.

Outside seating nicely situated. The interior beautiful down t the smallest detail. Made to feel very welcome the waiting staff very professionally trained. The food excellent. I think it must be under new ownership and deserves to do well. Saturday nights live music really good.

I can't think why my Hostal owner recommended this place for tapas. I guess they must be friends! No tapas on view. I got half a E10 portion of stuffed mushrooms with prawns for E5 on a mound of lettuce. Horrible! The atmosphere was horrible too and unwelcoming. The owner didn't say gracias, he just snatched the E5 note I put on the table. Very uncomfortable chairs. Nice music playing. Not a place to linger so I didn't ask if they had wifi! No one said Goodby and thanks. Ok I only spent E5 but I should have still been treated with some respect. I kept the card because that at least was in good taste and i once owned a graphics design archive and photo library in London. Not recommended.

Living in Granada and being spoiled for choice when it came to tapas we decided to have something safe so unanimously (myself, my better half and 2 children) we chose Italian and this place had decent reviews. Service was very good I cannot fault it in anyway. My eldest case prawn pasta, my wife hawaii pizza (pineapple ham, not sure if it was called Hawaii on the menu - but you know what i mean). I chose the Daviola (without anchoas). Firstly the prawn pasta that my daughter had was very nice (and was the reason for 2 not 1 or 2 stars). When I am reviewing something that I don't particularly like I'll often say it was well cooked blah blah blah but just not to my taste these pizzas (my pizza) went beyond that, the base was very thin they put a tomato based followed by chorizo cheese and more chorizo. The problem was when cooking so much oil came out of the chorizo it completely destroyed the base and the cheese looked to have curdled it was a lumpy soggy mess. My wifes pizza wasn't much better, neither myself not the children could eat a single piece and I have never been known to waste pizza ever! OK The pasta was good, service excellent, pizzas forget! hence 3 stars maybe I was unlucky and they were having a bad pizza day.
