Arrived for a casual lunch on a Saturday morning. The venue caters for kids with an outdoor play area, while the indoors or covered verandah outside may suit couples or adults unaccompanied by children. Pleasant surroundings.Service was friendly and relaxed, it was not a busy morning.Menu had items for all diets. We ordered fish and chips for two.Generous serve, fish was terakihi, chips ok. Coffee ok.Parking was easy, either on the street outside or in council carparks within a short walking distance to cafe.

Visited on Tuesday quiz night. Great atmosphere. Been here previous week too. Tuesday night was Burgers for $15 night --- 3 types of Burgers on menu all similar priced. Ordered 2 Honky-tonk Burgers and 1 crispy chicken burger. Was charged full price for the Honky-tonk. Disappointed as was never informed about not being on special --- should have been informed especially on Burger evening when advertised $15 Burger.
We stumbled upon this cafe on a Saturday lunchtime. The sun was shining and so we chose to sit outside where there are plenty of tables. The cafe is really big inside and has a funky & modern vibe. The menu is quite diverse and there are also a lot of yummy looking choices in the cabinet. They are a licences cafe so you can also enjoy a drink with your food. Our coffee was good and we all enjoyed the food we had chosen. A great location for a Cafe like this as there is nothing else close by.

...... I hate McDonald's, but next time I go there, The Tokyo steinlager is acutely a good beer,...have now idea, how you can mess that up, buy better a bottle !!!Fries was ok, and $ 9.50 sounds much, but that is what I pay at the waterfront too. They give a tiny little bit of sauce !My tip, eat something before security checkpoint !!! Better options !!!Dear India2012,Thank you for taking the time and writing us your feedback about you time spend at 1958 Bar & Eatery.Sorry to hear that you didnât take away that experienced which you should have had. Have learn that our service on that day did not live up to your expectation. This is not how we want our customer to leave. We definitely will use your feedback for improvement and address your points with the team. We do hope that aside from the above we will be able to see you again soon.Thank you India2012Sincerely yours,HMSHost New Zealand

Come again dined here for dinner in New Year to relieve the craving I've had all week for chicken dish. But its Terrible. We ordered some starter and Beef quesdillas lamb shanks .Whenever we dine here we feel that the service is usually okay and food was good with big portions which is one of the main reasons we go there every now and then. However, that was not the case last night.Firstly, table is sticky .it seemed that the staff were confused among themselves; we were led to our table by the staff at the counter, a waitress came and took our order, another waiter came and told us that she'll be looking after our table, and once we were done with our meal, a different waiter came to clear our table. Maybe it's how their system is run, but it made us feel as though we were not being properly looked after. Now back to the food.we waiting for half hour got the food .Before just 10 mins. And the food is lack of seasoning.I dont know what happen . Maybe they change the owner or chef ?The lamb wasn't even as tender as they should be, and the amount of mashed potato served with the lamb was terrible. The beef quesdillas were alright - nothing fancy. What a big disappointment! I thought Toby Jug INN is known to "provide quality with quantity" which was far from the reality that hit us big time on our face. We've actually asked the waitress about the quantity of each dish before ordering and she was pretty confident that they would be filling. Quality? Could be better, and quantity? Who are we kidding? We had to come home and cook ourselves a meal to satisfy our hunger after paying from dining out. What a waste of money and time. I usually don't like ranting negatively about a place, but just felt the need to put it out there with an honest review. Not going back to this branch again out of choice for sure.

Definitely the best place to eat near Auckland's international airport! Lovely food that uplifts your mood after you've been on a tiring 10h flight, 2 days after a 12h flight... They serve food for everyone, including the gluten-intolerant among us :-). I had amazing pizza, my spouse had a delicious burger with fries, perfect comfy food.We are glad we could uplift your mood with our food and service. Thanks for a positive feedback.

Szimpla Gastro Bar is a new concept bar & restaurant located under the ibis budget Hotel at Auckland Airport, not far from Mangere Bridge, Manukau. A home away from home for visitors to New Zealand staying in neighbouring hotels and an exciting new social
Been to Szimpla a couple of times now, my Dad frequents New Zealand and we often end up here for a meal in between his flights. The service is average and each time we visit, they insist on seating us in less than desirable tables and we always ask to be moved. The food is good nothing to rave about really, but good value for money as they are generous sizes that I often end up taking half my meal away.
