Le Restaurant Chanterelle is a friendly and cozy restaurant/bar located next to the ski lift of "Chery Nord" of Mont Chery and is open everyday during the ski season from 09h until closing of the ski lifts. The chef proposes traditionnal homemade French c
Don't be deceived by the old reviews. This used to be a great restaurant but now it is like Fawlty Towers. Lots of promises but fails to deliver. Another customer even wished me luck when I had to go inside to tell them that their "special grandmother's recipe" Brotz(?) was served to me cold. Eventually 4 staff come out to serve us our drinks ... warm wine plonked in an ice bucket (according to the manager they " only serve good wine" ..... to be fair he didn't say how they served it), no bottle of craft beer which I had to go inside to choose 20 minutes earlier, no carafe d'eau...... same warm wine bottle re-appeared 5 mins later but in an ice bath... that should do the trick if we wait 30 mins! No apology for this debacle...we paid and left

Perfectly located at the bottom of the Chavannes pistes, the Yeti is the perfect self service restaurant. We eat here most days as it is the closest place to ski school drop-off. It is basic but just what you need. The baguettes, hot dogs, soups, salads and spaghetti bols are great. The service can occasionally be patchy but always comes with a smile. The hot chocolates are excellent. We love the Yeti!

We are skiing in the resort and fell upon this exquisite cafe. Lovely welcome from the owner and nothing was a problem with our limited French. The lunches are first class and great value for money in a ski resort. Would thoroughly recommend it. The vin chaud was probably the best I have ever had!

Firstly we were greeted by the lovely Celine with the widest smile in the French Alps and the best attitude. She managed to secure a table for two facing the slopes and in the full sun - just the way we like it. A chilled glass of rose and a pression of draft beer started us off and we basked in the sun and watched the skiers and boarders glide past on the beautiful pistes of the Chavannes. A thin base pizza with just the right amount of crispiness and plenty of cheese and a huge fluffy omelette served the Savoyard way with potatoes and a green salad and bread (of course) helped to ease the hunger pangs and we decided on a cheeky dessert - rum and raisin ice-cream with a shot of white rum, which was delicious. All in all a great meal in a great setting with great staff. Well worth a visit but make a reservation if you can as it is very popular.

Similar menu to most places in less gets. Unlike a lot of places you can generally walk in and get a table. Food is good and no complaints about the service.

This is a great place for lunch or even for a drink. Seems like quite a new place as it all looks very nice. If you want to eat inside you will need to book but if itâs a sunny day, the terrace is well positioned to catch some rays

Don't order drinks to your table, over a period of two hours, unless you are making sure to keep track and proof of the drinks your group have ordered. Service was ok but when it came time to settle up, five extra beers (â¬25) had appeared. Double check your bill, and in fact, just order and pay at the bar for each round. Also, the staff smoke in the service area near the toilets, which stinks and is illegal.
