Came in for a lunch with business associates, one of whom has worked in Shelton for a long time and called Porky's "an establishment." We split wings, pizza and chili. Some said they were close to the quality of J-Timothy's in Sputhington (very high on the list) while others said these were too small and the flavor didn't go through enough. I would come back for the mashed potato pizza. The chili was reviewed as good, but nothing noteworthy. All in all, I would come back, but that's more because there aren't too many quality restaurants in the area, not because the food was that good. The server/bartender was very nice, she seemed to be on the ball with both jobs.

We were in the area around lunch time and happened upon Center Street Social, parking is very limited, on street, this was a Thursday so we were able to find a spot in front, but I can imagine during peak times you will have a bit of a walk, nicely decorated for the Halloween season, we were greeted right away and told we could sit wherever we wanted, it wasn't busy at all, again it was a weekday, inside and outside seating, seating is on the small side both in and out, we opted for outside under a pergola of sorts, very nicely appointed interior, we were given menus right away and water as well, our waitress was excellent very attentive without being overbearing, same individual that greeted us, she took our orders and food was out very quickly, I had the Mobstah Lobstah: a good sized portion of Lobster with melted butter atop a toasted bun served with fries, my Wife had the taco special: 3 soft tacos, chicken, cheddar, lettuce and topped with sour cream, both were excellent, no room for dessert but it was offered and looked very good, limited menu but something for everyone and excellent service, we will be back.

Nice smaller place, but good fresh made foods. More bar foods than anything, but they do have a couple of specials. They have a blackboard for those of you interested in the name and alcohol content of the beers. They do change the beers so it is a great place if you are interested in tasting different beers.A negative is they don't have beers like Michelob Ultra or Coney Island Root Beer even though we have requested them and go there fairly regularly. There is also an outside patio for those that enjoy being outside. We have had a group of people there and the service was excellent even for a group of about 12.

My first visit to CCBG. It won't be my last. Firstly, shout out to Aimee, my server. She's incredibly personable, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. First up, seafood chowder. Delicious broth and chunky pieces of seafood. Next, half order of nachos. Delicious but really, really messy. The half order would easily feed 3 people. Last, lobster BLT. This was my least favorite course, which shocked me. I'm all about the lobster, but this lobster salad left me wanting. The flavor just wasn't there. The sandwich was constructed well, though. All that food and the bill was under $30. That works. I'll be back.

We had been traveling in heavy traffic, and googled for eats off the highway—Italian sounded great, so we were lead here.Overall, it seemed like a quaint area go-to place, a little like a well-kept local secret. The ample parking lot lead to the main entrance which had seating outside if we wished. Once inside, the main room ahead had a large bar with seats surrounding. We were warmly welcomed and led to the dining room in back. As advertised, the cuisine was Italian with starters, soups, sandwiches, pizzas, pasta dishes and more ample meat entrees — overall, the variety was decent with a varied selection to choose from. Not terribly familiar with the area, I would say that the prices seemed a little high on the pasta dishes and the larger/main entrées – – they did come with a small side salad however the pastas ranged $15-$17 for an average sized plate. The steak or larger meat dishes ranged from $25-$30 a plate, which again seemed a little high for what would appear to be a very casual neighborhood place. We started with cheesy garlic bread which was very tasty. The mains followed; I chose the pesto pasta (I picked linguine)With grilled chicken – – unfortunately, the basil was a little bitter and the chicken without flavor. I recognized the fact that it was obviously homemade, however the taste just didn’t do it for me. My daughter had the penne alla vodka which was acceptable, a little too heavy on the tomato versus the cream but she ate it. My son ate almost all of his penne carbonara – – he had asked for no peas or onions, which obviously would have tainted the dish, however these were added despite his request. He easily picked them out and enjoyed what was left. Our waitress Tracy deserves special mention—She was extremely friendly and helpful, brought the dishes out with the smile and genuinely seem disappointed that I hadn’t enjoyed my meal. She first offered something else in its stead, however I didn’t really need anything else at that point. When she presented the bill, she pointed out that she had removed the charge for my dish and was sincerely apologetic. The place was busy with lots of parties celebrating occasions, so perhaps they were just a little off. I’d give it another try just for it’s relaxing air and it’s friendly vibe

This is in the middle of nowhere in Derby in a mostly residential neighborhood, but it's a big space. They have a big indoor area with picnic tables and an outdoor area with a waterfall and outdoor party games. The beer selection is why to go, they usually have 35-40 beers on tap from all across the world. You'll definitely find something you like. They are not a brewery, so don't here looking for beer brewed onsite. Prices are very reasonable, in the $6-8 range depending on beer.Foodwise, it's a mixed bag. They have bar snacks like nachos and pizza, and for the summer they have cold things (Italian ice for example). The biggest problem is the food is very very very expensive for what you get. For example, my wife and I had a half order of BBQ chicken nachos..it was $18. Pizza is equally high priced. It's pretty good bar food, not restaurant quality but good enough. The biggest issue is price. Overall, THC is DEFINITELY worth visiting if you're in the area, just be prepared to open the wallet a bit if you're hungry.
