We used this takeaway regularly for along time but the quality of the dishes started to decline so went elsewhere. When our usual place was closed for Christmas we tried here again .The food remains mediocre at best but the delivery took nearly 2 hours by which time we had almost lost the will to live as we were so hungry. Will never use again.

As someone who has been working in HK for the last 3 years,Chinese Restaurants in the UK are arguably better, especially the Maypole Restaurant which I have been returning to every summer! Why, I'm so used to the taste of Chinese foods cooked British style, eg, Crispy Aromatic ducks, Sesame prawn toasts, salt and pepper prawns, Lobster fried with ginger, spinach and onions, my usual order reccomended by Ken and Debbie! It's certainly a gem in the heart of Tiptree, Essex, recommended by a colleague of mine who is a local there. Normally, most 'good' restaurants are overrated, however, lucky enough, my experience with Maypole has been truly amazing. The food is always fresh, taste is authentic and service is exceptional.Price wise, it's certainly not the cheapest, but it is definitely value for money considering the standards and quality. I would say it's better than most Hong Kong restaurants, absolutely fantastic !!!

This is the first time that I have used Yings. I can honestly say that this is by far the best Chinese I have had within the local area. I ordered a vast array of different dishes and all dishes was served piping hot and the dishes them self was flavoursome, and we'll seasoned. I always order a salt and pepper chicken as well and this is by far the best one I have had in a very long time. The prices are slightly higher than the local takeaway reatruants but from my experience and with the quality of food, I will now make this a regular haunt.I have been using another local takeaway until recently when the food had gone down hill and then the hygiene rating was rated a 1* for various reasons from this point I had stopped using my regular.
Offers a good range of food. Will take orders over the phone or in person. Food is very good although I must say I would prefer to place order then visit "fish and chip shop" for the chips. Unfortunately chips from this chinese venue are usually very soft and soggy. Otherwise foods are tasty and moorish.

We visited on a freezing cold Saturday night and found the restaurant fairly busy but noticed how cold it was inside. We waited and waited to be served but then noticed there was only waitress who was also looking after the take away customers too.Eventually after no service, we left naturally very disappointed by lack of service.

First visit, recommended by friends. Elegant environment, good menu, professional service.Exquisite table presentation and very well cooked food, every dish we ordered was tasty and well cooked, especially the meat and seafood which were just succulent. If you want a proper dining experience this is one place to treat someone, although a little pricey so check what you choose to order !Will be back in the near future for another special self-indulgent treat !
