You can also dine in but typically this is a go-to place for my office colleagues and I for lunch when we need take out for one of our lunch meetings. The people are friendly, the food is really delicious and reasonably priced. I'm in love with the Nems!!! Also the wok curry vert with duck. Yummy! FYI - they do speak English.

trouvé par hasard et séduit par les commentaires nous sommes allés un dimanche midi prendre un menu dans ce restaurant chinois typique. Pas de surprises, le cadre est accueillant et le service idem. Musique d'ambiance chinoise naturellement. Choix dans les menus à différents prix, pour tous les gouts. Nous y avons bien mangé et c'était très copieux. Vin à des prix abordables

Only true authentic Japanese cuisine in Waterloo.Quality of ingredients is up to standard, albeit restricted in choice of fish; Variety could be improved.Service is friendly and straight to the point although may be on the slow side as restaurant seating fills out. Overall, the best choice of Japanese cuisine in the Waterloo region.

I underestimated how large their mains were so had a pork skewer starter (tasty but small) then was quite impressed at how large the main was!The main - duck (soft and fatty) in a sweet red thai curry sauce with crunchy vegetables (carrots, onions, cauliflower, broccoli) was pretty succulent and rich, served with plain boiled rice to the side. I found it a lovely dish but quite large so couldn't finish it - but I'd certainly return to eat it again!

I have to see I was a bit disappointed. Service was very slow. Restaurant was about half full (Wednesday night), but the server told us it would be slow anyway. Not sure why. They didn't seem overwhelmed at all. But it happens. I guess. The Yellow curry was way too bland. Different from the curries we are used to at other Thai's. Wasn't bad at all, just a touch tasteless (seasoning?). Prices higher than the norm for Asian restaurants. I would go back, but I'd check other places before this one.

Just wow! Fine, tasteful, delicate. We will surely come back to taste some other plates on the menu. This is not a sushi bar this is really a Japanese inspired restaurant and it is worth every penny.Thanks a lot and hope to see you again !

This is our go-to very favorite Japanese restaurant. Their ingredients are always, always fresh. We have tried most of their menu offerings and nothing has disappointed us. The quality is consistently excellent! My favorites are the super sashimi mix and the chirashi bowls. And the dragon roll. And the teriyaki salmon. And the salads with the fresh pieces of sashimi salmon. Like I said everything here is good! Despite their having only 2 servers the service is fast and excellent. I almost don't want to write such a good review because so far, we can always get a table at this hidden gem but if it gets too popular that might no longer be the case âº. The decor is warm and casual and perfect for families. The prices are so reasonable too and I hope that doesn't change once it gets too popular. They do take out and deliveries. Forget about those sushi chains popping up everywhere or that newish fancy Japanese place in neighboring RSG that caters to snobs with their fake food and superficial decor and super high prices, THIS is the real deal.
